"Barren," instead of batten?

There must be a longstanding Jess joke I'm missing there.

Pretty sure that euphemism was a Wolfie slip-up from years ago. Surprised you've never stumbled across it until now.

If socal did that, that's seriously funny.

WW, yep, I must've missed that, if this is a Wolfie re-set. Like I said, I'm guessing there's some sort of longstanding joke being referenced here, 'cause I know socal knows how the actual "batten down the hatches" saying goes...

My memory isn't what it used to be, but I vaguely recall that coming from Wolfie. Either him or Jsc. I also recall a fairly good natured pile-on ensued before that term also became part of T1B lexicon.

Not even that old. A couple of years at the most if memory serves.

But then, I'm not sure how well memory is serving anymore.

And I'm pretty sure it came from Jess, as Socal credited.

Yeah, "barren down the hatches" was a Jessism from a couple years ago.

Currently doing preliminary home radiation level monitoring.

Suspicious.

Full report later, conditions permitting.

When are we going to grow a set of 'nads and tell the chinks that they have a week to shut down kim il, then we start slapping a 25% tariff on everything we import from them. Raise the tariff another 5% every month afterwards until they shut this crazy midget down.

What have you done with mvscal? How did you get his password?

No way mvscal accepts this from North Korea. No way he demands nothing less than making the Korean peninsula a sheet of glass.
