I just learned I've been using an ellipsis. All these years I just thought it was a series of periods... a pregnant pause, as it were. Turns out it has a fancy name.

Nah, the IT gestapo dorks at work ratcheted up the filter so that any non-IT-related BBs are blocked. That, combined with the recent layoff of 121 IT folks (20% of the dept), means my work days can no longer consist of 1 hour of work and 7 of tooling around on the web like the good 'ol SCIII days. :(

One thing I can say with confidence, following years of reading Terry's posts, is that Terry will prove to be one tough "out" in this contest.

Just like anybody else he occasionally makes a mistake, but Terry is one seriously precise poster. The way he orders his thoughts, the way he arranges his arguments...in particular, the way he writes, right down to his carefully applied coding, Terry is very persnickety about accuracy.

Dude will seriously work the count. He's always going to see a lot of pitches.

Also, he doesn't post all that frequently anyway, and now his readiness is on even higher alert.
