Simmons makes a great mattress. Best bed I've ever slept in. Just the right amount of firmness.

^^^ Aye. We bought a Simmons Beautyrest about 4 months ago and it is great.
Sleep Number? Looks to be an overpriced Caddy with bells and whistles you don't need that eventually go to shit. 5 years from now you dropped 3 grand in an uncomfortable piece-of-shit that never stays dialed in where you set it at bedtime.

Cheers!Just the right amount of firmness.

Re: Beds... Buy one lately?
I won't recommend a brand or firmness number but will say that our body responds best to resting on a firm surface. So as you test mattresses out in a store you should select on that is a notch firmer than the one that feels the most comfortable to you. Because it will be better for your body and because a mattress will soften up some as you continue to sleep on it through the years. Go a little more firm than you feel like you should.

Our mattress is close to ten years old as well and still going strong, but, then again we actually bought a good one back then.
Don't know a thing about the sleep numbers.

Book a room at a Radisson on your next trip. Part of their reovation has been the inclusion of sleep number beds. Some love them, I don't have strong feelings one way or the other.
The best bed by far is the Heavenly bed found in Westin hotels. You can buy the whole thing including bedding from Starwood.com Highly recommended.
Yes, I spend much time in hotels.

RACK the Westin bed. Most relaxing night of sleep I ever had.
I bought a Simmons Beautyrest about a year ago. Very comfortable and just the right amount of support.

I'm spending a couple of nights at the Westin in Long Beach next week.
I'll report back when I wake up.

Word. I bought one after my first night sleeping on one at the Westin, then went and bought a couple of Starwood timeshares due in no small part to the Heavenly bed.Left Seater wrote:The best bed by far is the Heavenly bed found in Westin hotels. Isn't the Heavenly bed found at Westin hotels actually made by Simmons...with the same pocketcoil technology as the Beautyrest?

You got the bottom of the line. Now if you had a Black you would at least be sleeping on a bed instead of a piece of cardboard, but until you go Heavenly you're just some stupid fuckhole from Boston that don't know shit.

I have virtually the same mattress as you... supposedly... and yet, mine is made out of cardboard. Thanks for proving yet again how utterly clueless you are.Moving Sale wrote:That's the whole point you idiot.

Rack Simmons for making a crib-sized mattress for toddlers like you, I guess.

No one cares about the color of the cock that pounded your dimehole into submission and put you to sleep.

Seriously, your presence on top of any mattress, be it firm, soft, plush, air, foam... whatever... barely registers. Sorry, dude, dwarves are not qualified to be an authority on the subject. Your opinion is meaningless.

Your height prancing around in stilettos? Taking pointers from AP is generally not a good idea.
Enjoy happy hour tonight during the dwarf toss. I hope you travel far... and land smack dab in the middle of a Heavenly mattress, barely making a ripple.
