If a player is injured and unable to take the free throws due him, the opposing coach will now be able to select the shooter from the other 4 players on the court at the time of the foul.


Seems a strange rule change. I get not bringing in the guy at the end of the bench who can't do crap but shoot Free Throws, but this is a little crazy. Granted it did get a little crazy the last few years with players too hurt to shoot free throws, then suddenly back in the game 10 seconds later. But seriously, letting the other coach choose after his team fouled?

I am not a big fan of this rule. If they altered the rule and restricted the selection to 1 of 4 players on the court during the play, then that would be fine by me.
