Few things...

-Why is ND's mascot an Irishman who wears kelly green and gold from head to toe, and yet ND's colors are blue and gold, instead of kelly green and gold?

I went to Notre Dame H.S. and that always bothered me, even then. N.D. is Irish. They got the mascot right, though I don't know why he needs to have Phil Silvers' male pattern balding, but they can't get the official colors right.

-Barber shop quartet renditions of college fight songs are the gayest things ever. On top of that, I just can't imagine that someone actually sits down and writes the lyrics to these things. Who do they get to do 'em, Audie Murphy's weepy grandmother?

-It'll never not be funny, the way S_M always kills ND with his constant use of Decided Schematic Advantage.

ND wasn't always known as the Fighting Irish. I think that nickname first stuck sometime in the 1910's or 1920's. Before that, ND's sports teams were known as the Ramblers, based on their willingness to travel anywhere ('sup, SEC?).

Notre Dame, as I'm sure you're aware, means Our Lady in French. ND's official colors (blue and gold) are colors associated with Mary.

Fwiw, white jerseys are a relatively new development at ND. Up until about the 1940's or so, ND wore blue jerseys at home and kelly green jerseys on the road.

I'm not. It appears much of his hatred and that particular response stemmed from MSU fans giving him shit on the internet. On MSU homer boards, they're pretty critical of ND, and downright nasty much of the time. Probably even moreso with ND than they are with Michigan.

Couple that with the fact it's been a pretty intense and competitive rivalry over the past decade or so, with the home team losing pretty regularly.

Ouch, Screw. Really got me with that one.

Mgo, ND fans everywhere are waiting on proof of the alleged flag plant in 2004.

I can't see the clip, but I can see why that dude talks about his hatred for MSU. More than likely, its their fans. As a whole, MSU fans are more on par with Babs than Mgo. Basically, they're ignorant red-neck trash.
