I'm sort of glad my identification with my team, it's success, and coach is currently not moderated by Lane Kiffin.
he may be the state of the art bad ass....but he looks more like 97 Rick Neuheisel minus Bill McCartney's jr and sr class.
or a dot.com startup in 99.
he's recruiting like a mofo but the NFL bad boy thing seems to fail more than succeed. Hey, Bill Callahan.

Recruiting is what it takes to win, especially when going up against Meyer, Saban and LSU, and recruiting is what Tennessee hired Kiffin to do.
This thing with Berry's little brother is obviously just a "feel good" PR move, for the benefit of Eric Berry and Vol Fan.

Exactly. Also, Wake Forrest offered Chris Leak a scholarship after older brother CJ signed there in 1998. I think he was an 8th grader or Freshman in HS.

I thought they offered CJ only because of Chris.

What's this about their high admission standards limiting the pool of players they could choose from ?
If the guy hasn't even started high school yet, how do they know he's the "elite academic material" that the Furd demands ?
......this is just more evidence that Furd is just like every other D1 school in America other than Cal.

They can give a verbal offer at any point. The written offer can't be given until junior year.

And the verbal offer is worth less than a wooden nickel.

this pic is a total fake. Kiffin has yet to wear the UT gear on the sideline.

The Tennessee players have orange tape with their names stenciled on the tape, on the front of their helmets. This obviously isn't a pic from the sidelines of a game, it's from some sort of workout.
But yeah, it could still be a fake.

And then combining select sperm with select eggs to create test tube super-athletes who will be nurtured/trained in the U's pediatric training complex. Surprised Tejas hasn't pulled that shit off yet.

Yep. I frequently rub one out to a poster of Tom whilst the Carpenter's "Close to you" plays in the background. Sometimes I dry hump my Eric Crouch muppet, too. Good times!

WTF is a six-week old fetus? Are you talking inside the womb still? Or do you call all babies a fetus until...what...8 weeks?
Offering scholarships at any age before 17 should be outlawed. Period. In fact, universities should have to wait until at least the end of the senior year of ball, and preferably, after the end of the senior academic year.

Fuck yeah! At this rate, Tennessee boosters are going to be shipping the entire 2010 Hot Wheels lineup to all the best 5th grade kick-ball and war-ball players.
