Joe Biden, Feb. 6, 2009: "If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, there's still a 30 percent chance we're going to get it wrong."
Joe Biden, June 5 2009: "We misread how bad the economy was..."
B.O. & Co. predicted that the unemployment rate in June would be about 7.9% if the "stimulus" plan was passed. They also predicted that the unemployment rate would be about 8.7% if the plan was NOT passed.
The plan passed. The unemployment rate is 9.5%, 1.2% higher than if we did nothing at least according to our genius in charge.

Which means it would have been over 10% had we done nothing at all.

Is it too early to say they were wrong? Probably. When they raise taxes on the middle class we can start the backlash.

You pathetic knob-polishing bitch! The CBO said less than 10% if we did nothing at all when it evaluated Obama's stimulus plan. Your standard here is as convincing as Obama's carrying on about "saving" jobs. Something that cannot be measured in any way whatsoever.
As well, given that only a tiny amount of the actual stimulus spending has actually been disbursed (less than one-eighth), you cannot argue that stimulus spending has kept unemployment from going even higher.
Further still, it is commonly recognized that employment is a lagging economic indicator. Hence, it's highly improbable that given the tiny amount actually disbursed would be having any impact whatsoever.
Look, this stimulus is a failure. That's why Obama's
economic team is recommending a second stimulus mere months after the first massive stimulus was rammed down our throats on the basis that the first stimulus was "a bit too small."
GFYJO. You're a slag for the regime and that's it.

They're always off, idiot. Static economic scoring is nearly always wrong. The point is, using static economic scoring like the CBO does tells what likely would happen if nothing changed versus what would happen if only the change being proposed were implemented.
So your point that the projections were off is quite meaningless and irrelevant.
I did notice that you had no response whatsoever to the other comments I posted so I'll that as tacit admission that I hit my mark.
We'd have this same level unemployment had the fed government done nothing. Yet, after passing legislation including nearly a trillion dollars of deficit spending for economic stimulus based on the totally empty promises of creating or saving millions of jobs we have...what? The same level of unemployment as we would have had by doing nothing.
And Obama and the Democrats already recognize that the stimulus is failing as they are ready to start planning a second stimulus package.
Way to go, asshats.

now, after seven months in office they're calling for him to be ousted because he hasn't undone all of the damage inflicted on the country by Bush's foreign and domestic policies

Riight. But I was worth the effort you did put into that steaming pile of post? You're as transparent as Obama's hope and change mantra. Keep repeating that to yourself, moron, you might delude yourself into thinking he's some kind of messiah...
Prove it.
You first...I'm still waiting for you to prove, "Which means it would have been over 10% had we done nothing at all."
I already cited my source. You decided to argue that the CBO was off. Not that you can prove it since the conditions that the CBO used to reach their estimations do not exist.
But you're going to demand that I prove something? You've committed the cardinal sin among liberals...hypocrisy. Not that I am surprised.
Look, Congress and your boy Obama relied on the CBO projections and so am I. Deal with it.

Here, moron...
CBO's baseline unemployment rate for 2009 was 9%, in 2010, 8.7%, and in 2011, 7.5% as of February 2009 in the heat of the stimulus debate.
Despite Obama's promises and declarations that the stimulus money is pouring into the economy and that it's already saving jobs, we've already exceeded that 9% and going higher.
BTW - I wonder why Obama never acknowledged that he was flat-out wrong about Catepillar being able to avoid layoffs if the stimulus was passed? So much for saving jobs.
Biden was right when he declared, "some people are being scammed already" when he was discussing the stimulus in May.
Edit - Funny, I'm not worth the effort to respond to but apparently, worth the weeks of curiosity about who I am...

So we could have done nothing, the unemployment would have been up .5% by your admission, and the gubmint would not have spent the billions of hand out, welfare, transparent dollars, and inceased the national debt by billions.
Sounds like a pretty good deal to me....GM would still be in Chapter 11, the sun will rise in the east, and the welfare fucks will still get their dole.
Maybe when gubmint decides to get the fuck out of private business's way, and let private business get working again, you will see an economic turn around. But for now, we keep throwing billions of dollars towards gubmint funded projects, which get the 30% of people that work for the gubmint more busy work, and allows the local city workers to continue driving around 3 to a vehicle doing the gubmint slouch / lean, and hide on the back streets in the industrial sections not doing a fucking thing.
BSpinmeister will now dispute common economic precepts and be a honk for his boy BO and his crew.

They already have a formula in place to determine saved jobs: If any company that does business with the Gubmint doesn't hire a new employee to answer the telephone, write the order, fill the order, ship the order, mail the invoice and receive the payment, each of those jobs counts as a job saved. If the do hire someone for any of those positions, it's a job created. Simple, no?

Perfect...for the GOP Primary season, that is. I'm telling you, the first thing GOP folks will need to do is lynch the morons who have been in charge of strategy for them. If they are able to do that, and IF they are able to position capable folks in their places (that is...source them from outside of their tent, which is full of halfwits), then the slogan will be useful for candidates amidst the GOP primary season.

Well..because the left leaning media portray them to be the leaders of the GOP....and the media is pushing Palin as a presidential pick in 2012 ? Even though there is no chance in hell of that happening....of course by the time 2012 rolls around, this country could elect a real monkey to President and he would do a better job than O' Muslim is doing or will do.
What better way to start setting the stage already....The mainstream GOP does not want Palin,so the liberal media will push her as the choice in 2012..what a fucking crock of shit.. and the radio honks are just that..honks..but if the liberal media can ram the Palin shit down the country's throat already, it makes the Messiah look good, even though he is completely incompetent..

Exactly. If you would have asked the libtards who the face of the Libtard party was 7 months into Bush's administration, who would they have said? Obama? He was a nobody 8 years ago.
The fact some fuckstick on this board says the voice of the RNC is a radio personality who IS NOT a politician is humorous at best. The Republican party is waiting for the two minute warning before assigning that dut to someone. They know Obama and Co. will have MANY turnovers between now and next election day. Whether he is or he isn't is immaterial. There is a well funded effort to make it appear as if he is.
Personally, I've never been all that intrigued by Rush when I have heard him. In fact the only times I really listen to his show is when Walt Williams or Thomas Sowell fill in for him.

here it is, 7 months later and they're still screeching that Obama's plans aren't working, he's mortgaged the future of the country, he's taking us to socialism/communism, he's bankrupting the country, etc. etc. I know it must be pretty frustrating for Reps to recognize that they've been marginalized, but that was a mandate by the American people, not the Democrats.....the Reps have nobody but Bush to blame for the clusterfuck that is the current Republican party
