And hardcore Tennessee fan, who went to Colorado.

Things I've learned in the last week:

Tennessee has the best coaching staff in America
Lane Kiffin is the best recruiter in America
DB Eric Berry will receive a Heisman invite this season
Tennessee will beat UF this year (in the swamp)
Tennessee will win the national championship in 2011

Tennessee has the best coaching staff in America - Based on all the games they've won together?
Lane Kiffin is the best recruiter in America - How does one even measure this? It's just a baseless thing to say.
DB Eric Berry will receive a Heisman invite this season - When Tebow, McCoy, and Bradford are all returning? Rrrrright, good luck with that.

sounds a little bit like (some of) Nebraska fan in full on *Bill Callahan invented the forward pass* crack-pipe honking.

NFL HC dumped by Al, state of the art staff and "business-like approach" to doing things, deposed HC but great recruiter (Boo Blake: Ed Orgeron), lots of 8 star recruits coming in, and a variety of QB saviors....Harrison Beck, Sam Keller, etc.

when, as an aside, the best player of the Callahan era was probably Zac Taylor...a QB from Norman OU didn't offer and who couldn't find a home at Ok State or Wake.

A little premature for a 6-6 team to have the Conf Champ game on the schedule already, ain't it? Tenn could end up with 7 wins if they get lucky against both UCLA and Memphis.

The only one I see there as being plausible is the recruiting thing. Yeah, between Kiffin and Ed Orgeron Tennessee has themselves two of the most highly successful and highly regarded recruiters in the country.

Their first year haul is already bearing this out, especially since they had so little time. Kiffin was hired late, and Orgeron even later, and still they got some awfully big (and surprising) "gets," including the #1 prospect in the country.

On paper, especially with Monte Kiffin there as the new DC, they also have a pretty well regarded coaching staff, but that doesn't mean shit. They still have to prove it on the field. Monte's been in the NFL forever, so who knows how'll he'll do at the college level, dealing with amateur college kids. Lane's never been a head coach at the major college level, and his stint with the Raiders as their head coach is hardly applicable to, well, anything.

It's the Raiders.

Tennessee certainly hasn't reason for optimism though, compared to the final days of the Fat Phil era.

If that's the case, then yeah, amateurs. USC doesn't pay its players.

Enron wasn't technically posting quarterly losses, either.

You ball-sucking homers down there can probably tell each other apart by the smell of jizz caked on your mouths.
