I guess we could use another win against the BIG 10.

A home and home.... Strawberry Canyon and The Big House ?

Not to mention Colorado on the schedule in the same season...

Michigan needs to get this done.

I'd love to see a home-and-home with any Pac-10 team at this point...I missed those days of facing Oregon, Washington and UCLA. I hate seeing two or three MAC schools on the slate.

I guess Cal does have a chance. Look what happened to Michigan the last time they scheduled a 1-AA opponent......

This would be interesting, indeed. I'll be torn. I have yet to ever root for UM to win a game against any opponent...but I'll be sorely tempted in this case.

Root for the fly over to be carrying live rounds.

I'd say there's a better chance of the fly over carrying the Cal football team to the game.

My guess is that Dick Rod will say no to Cal. He's going to want to schedule as many cupcake non conference games as possible after that disaster season last year.

Colorado will be an A in 2010 (maybe even an A+). They were starting 20 freshmen and sophomores this past year (and a lot of them were highly touted). In fact, most of there 2 deeps were freshmen and sophomores.

The Colorado game has the potential to be a battle of 2 top 10 teams.

Retard, you do know.... Cal under Tedford is 5-0 vs. the Big 10.

The Big 10 is a cupcake to everyone outside of the Big 10.

not true. CU was a young team with a lot of depth chart holes last year, but 20/22 is incorrect.

depth chart for 2008 CU-West Virginia game: 16 starters either JR or SR. (pdf)

dickrod doesn't handle scheduling. bill martin does, and he's only concerned with the dosh.

Retard, you do know...... 4 of the 5 wins were against bottom feeding Big-10 teams and the other was a home game against a team Cal was pretty even to. Wow, congrats on having 1 quality win vs the Big-10.

The Pac-10 does not find the Big-10 to be an easy win. USC does. USC also finds the Pac-10 to be nothing but a bunch of easy wins too.

Nice try, dickface, but your argument as always..........is flawed.

Cal's wins under Tedford vs Big-10

2008, (9-4) Michigan State
2006, (6-7) Minnesota
2005, (2-9) Illinois
2003, (1-11) at Illinois
2002, (4-8) at Michigan State

EPIC FAIL!

Damn that 2002 MSU team had some talent. Bobby Williams was one of the worst coaches in D1A history.

He and JLS were pretty bad in the player development category. People forget Devin Thomas was a relative nobody under JLS, relegated to special teams coverage for the most part. In just one year under Dantonio, he's an all Big Ten WR, and eventual 2nd round draft pick. There were others too, but he's the prime example.

Don't be bad-mouthin' our tight ends/special teams coach! :D
Bobby Williams is an assistant coach at Alabama? Holy shit.....that guy got a job!!!??? Good for him. He was a fantastic coach. Just because your team quits on you and you underachieve every year doesn't make you a bad coach, I don't care what those a-hole MSU fans say! :D

I don't miss it all. What's better than a 3 hour plane flight just to have the worst officials in the country throw the PAC-10 another bullshit win. I will always agree with Lloyd Carr on this. The only way Michigan or any Big Ten team should go to the west coast is if we get to pick the officials.

Michigan will be scheduling a BCS conference team for their home opener in 2010. This will be the Michigan Stadium dedication game. My guess is that Pitt, Ok State or Virginia are more likely opponents. I am against the Big Ten playing Pac-10 teams...period until the Rose Bowl.

That makes no sense especially considering the Big-10 doesn't always play Pac-10 in the Rose Bowl anymore. I assume you're one of the dudes crying about interleague play in baseball too??

by all accounts bobby williams is a good position coach who develops great relationships with his players. great to have on your staff, horrible to run your fb program. there is a thing called the peter principle, you know.

i'd like to see them play on the west coast, if only because i live here. exposure in california couldn't hurt, either. aside from losing 77-3 to the best cf team ever, of course.

How are you getting 3? You know the tradition of Cal Defensive STUDS littering the NFL wouldn't allow your pathetic squad past mid-field...check yourself brother...

I wouldn't mind playing Pac10 teams in a home and home scenario....in another year or so. I liked when UM has played Washington, UCLA, Oregon in the past. Has UM fared well? Nope. But who gives a fuck! This is a new regime that needs to build the "anyone, anywhere, anytime" mentality. I would love to see UM play traditional powers like OU, Texas, LSU, bama, UF (they don't want us), etc. This probably won't happen before the ND contract ends, and maybe not even at that time, but as a fan I want my team in marquee matchups.

the sad thing about the uconn game is that it'll count as a quality win, presuming michigan actually does. meh.
