I will be there in two weeks. I plan on taking about 3 ger with me to gamble with after I drop the wife off at the Rio buffet for three days. I figure if I lose all 3Gs and she keeps feeding herself, then we will come out even for the trip when the Rio declares bancruptcy.
Wish me luck.

And then going home with his "fatter" ass old lady after she hogs at the buffet for 3 days. Just like every other flat lander who goes to Vegas to break the bank.....

I lived in Vegas for 5 years, and moved back to CA in 1999 after spending 4 years trying to leave. Haven't been back even once since then and have no desire to go.
What a useless fucking shithole. Perfect place for losers and.....other losers.

Don't they have any decent casinos close bye that aren't in the fucking desert? What, you're maybe a 3-4 hour drive from Biloxi or Gulfport?

Rumps is a 50 minute ride to Galveston where he can get on a boat and go into the Gulf to gamble. It's no Vegas. Vegas is fun, in small doses. Been there for 6 days straight 3 times. WAY TOO MUCH. Been there about 15 times for 3 days or less. Great times.

Baton Rouge, right? Nice town.
I stopped at one of them on my way to Beaumont for a softball tourney. Won a hundred bucks on a slot machine and then got the fuck out of there fast as possible. Gave it all back and then some at some dive of a casino in Lake Charles a few days later.

Re: Lost Wages--I'm with Indy Frisco on that place-- about 3 days is plenty. We have a Seminole Casino about an 3/4 hour drive from us in Immokolee that is a dump even with recent renovations. I plan on making a stop to a nice one in CNY called Turning Stone. It's like a piece of Vegas and it is not on a freaking boat.

That's how I feel about the entire state of Florida after having lived there for several years. It only appeals to vacationers and wolfmans.

Heh...we got a condo near you in Bonita Springs in the Bonita Bay development. Was just there a few weeks ago and wanted to go to the casino in Immokolee (bout 50 minute drive for us). The pro at one of our courses said that they just rennovated the casino and it looks really nice now. They have table games now too where they used to only have slots and poker. Problem is they have all table games but craps which is what I would go to play. Once they get craps, I'll be there quite a bit on our trips to the condo.

We're going from Tuesday - Friday. I got a rental car lined up for the day we arrive. We're gonna check out the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, and visit the casinos off the strip without any gambling involved on our first day.
My strategy is to play two $500 sessions per day on Wed, Thur, and Fri. Each session will be three hours or if my bankroll should run out before the session ends. And if I do lose all $500 before the three hour session, then I will be just as satisfied cruising the strip until my next scheduled session.
Say what you want about Mrs. Rumps, but how many of your wives are gonna go with you, much less let you set foot within a mile of Cheetahs for a night of dollar and lap dances? My wife fucking rules.

I was at one of those Lake Charles casinos once. It had all the ambiance of a floating warehouse.

I've not been, but my mom frequents the Grand Casino Coushatta in Lake Charles. She says it is a deece casino.

Lake Charles is two hours away from where I live. I've been to the three main casinos in that area.
Coushatta is overcrowded with wolfmans and degenerates looking to spend their last $20 on nickel slots. It's trash...except for the golf course.
Isle of Capris is just one step below Coushatta, but it's got a sweet Hold'em room and some serious poker players there. The room is on the boat which is on the complete opposite side of the casino which is nice.
L'auberge du lac is a classy casino for high rollers. That entire place says "Go Away!" to every $5 and $10 players looking to only lose a couple hundy. The table minimums usually start at $25. It's a rather big casino too and every table is full of players and skanks hanging on these high rollers arms . My buddy's uncle is big time there. He usually bets $400 a hand on blackjack and is given one of the better suites in the hotel. Not only that, but he is comped on all the concerts that they have there.
I will occasionally go to L'auberge to play some craps, but I normally go to Isle of Capris for the Hold'em.

That's the one I went to. Spent about 4 hours there and lost a hundy playing blackjack on a 5 dollar table.

Great idea, my man. Was there two weeks ago. 114 degrees but the water was perfect. Highly recommend renting a boat or some waverunners.

Turning Stone is great if you don't like to have a drink while you gamble. And the hotel rooms are grossly overpriced, as is the food.

Not staying there--don't drink when I gamble-- and plan on eating at a nice seafood joint down the road a bit. Other than that I'll try to have some fun while I undoubtedly will give some of my $$ to the Oneidas and Ray H.

What do tigers dream of when they take their little tiger snooze?
Do they dream of mauling zebras, or Halle Berry in her Catwoman suit?
Don't you worry your pretty striped head, we're gonna get you back to Tyson and your cozy tiger bed.
And then we're gonna find our best friend Doug, and then we're gonna give him a best friend hug.
Doug, Doug, oh, Doug, Dougie, Dougie, Doug, Doug!
But if he's been murdered by crystal meth tweakers
well then we're shit out of luck.

Yea, you usually can get away with that. And they have a kickass golf course that hosts a PGA Tour event, albeit a second tier, post Fed Ex Cup event.
