One of my favorite musicians is a Mandinka, Salif Keita. Wonderful singer. Which reminds me: I made a wonderful African curry tonight. I was short a few spices to make a proper Indian masala, but I had a bit of peri-peri to make the dish work. My lady friend brought over a vinho verde. Perfect pairing.
