Best hats in the world are the Franchise hats from Lids. Stretch fit. All I wear. I have about 30 different hats for A&M, Titans, Astros and Rockets like this.

I use to throw that bitch on, wear it out and form it as I wore it. I'd also take out all of that white backing shit on the inside. I don't need to look like the man in the yellow hat when I throw on a Tiger or ND hat.

I have a couple old 5950's, but I never liked them. I have the same problem as Screw. I am in between a 7 1/4 and 7 3/8. With my "summer cut" the 7 1/4 could fit but I would even get headaches because it was a little too tight. 7 3/8 would "stick out" on my ears and I'd look like a doofus. When I discovered Lids stretch fit Franchise hats, I fell in love. Because I wear hats every day and pretty much all weekend long.

Put that 5950 on your knee and pull until you hear a pop. That's just the elastic strip in the hat popping, giving you a little room. Should fit like a charm.

Sorry, but even if the 5950 fit just fine, I still don't like the hard feel to it. The soft top stretch fit hats are a God-send. It's like finding the perfect song. Hard to beat.

Me, personally, I used to have a ton of baseball hats but they always seem to go missing. Oddly enough, the next time I see my little brother he's wearing the exact same hat that went missing. Hmm......that's strange!

Right now I've got a Nike unfitted Royals lid on. I am a Nike whore, so of the 4 or 5 hats I have remaining- 3 are Nike Royals hats, 1 is a Nike Iowa hat and the other is my only fitted cap- a New ERA Royals hat. I would like my old Florida, Cubs, and dozen or so Iowa hats I have been missing but I'm guessing I'll never see them again. Bunch of fucking savages in this town!

When you sweat, that band on the inside of the hat shrinks causing your hat to get tighter. When you pop in on your knee and pull, you are popping the elastic or plastic backing and giving that band more room. Elastic may have been the wrong word, but this used to be on the New Era website.

First thing that comes to mind when I see that hat is "Willie Stargell and Roberto Clemente".




Clemente had the best arm I've ever seen.... and Stargell had the best waiting for a pitch set-up... I've ever seen.

Willie Mays and Roberto Clemente are the best players I've ever seen in person.

Clemente and Stargell were my idols growing up, along with Hendrix and Ricky Bell. Yep, Clemente had the best arm I've ever seen, along with Dave Parker.

Only thing is, Clemente never wore that cap. Pittsburgh still sported good unis and normal caps when Clemente was there.

Since I was such a Pirates fan growing up, my brother bought me one of those pillbox Pirates caps for my b-day one year. I didn't have the heart to tell him that I hated it. I just never wore it. Instead, I continued to wear my much cooler looking Cleveland Indians and St Louis Cardinals caps.

I don't even wear caps anymore, and the only two I still own are a Laguna Seca World Superbike cap, and a Cleveland Indians cap. I'm not an Indians fan, but I've always thought they had the coolest cap in baseball.
