Vinnie Strang, all 5'6", 140 pounds of him, was walk on who you'd think should have no business being on a football field....but, man did he create some beauty on it.
He played with Chase Lyman, Aaron Rodgers, and Geoff McArthur and was the epitome of what it is to be a Sturdy Golden Bear.
It's almost 1:30 and I haven't even eaten lunch yet. Woke up about noon. Fucking hangovers!
I'm starting to get hungry. Don't have the energy to cook anything and the wife is not home. Think I'll just go run up to Subway and get a 5 dollar footlong. That is, assuming I can bring myself up off my chair!

5 dollars is a pretty good deal!

Can't think of a single guy from Texas that had a Rudy moment, the closest might be Ahmard Hall but since he has been a Tennessee Titan for the last 3 years I highly doubt he counts. And for those who don't know Hall was a 4 year vet as a marine who walked on at Texas and earned a spot as a fullback. He was not drafted and made the Titans roster as a FA. He isn't the most talented guy on the team but he plays with a big heart and he is a huge lockerroom guy for them.

Thing is, Rudy played what, one insignificant pity down in his entire college "career?" So I'm not sure anyone who made any appreciable impact on his team could accurately be compared to Rudy.
I guess if we're talking about the undervalued or unexpected I'd have to go with Blair White -former walk on who was awarded a schollie last year and has developed into the best WR on the team. Maybe not the most raw athletic ability, but definitely the best and most reliable receiver.

not my team, but i might throw a nod to Wes Welker. local OKC kid that both OU and OSU passed on/no offer despite being the state POY. gained 3,500 yards at Texas Tech, returned 8 punts for TD's (NCAA record), undrafted as a free agent, All-Pro, game high 11 receptions in Super Bowl loss to Giants, and only second player to ever return a punt, KO, kick a PAT, FG and recorded a tackle in an NFL game.
maybe not technically a "Rudy", but pretty impressive nonetheless.

Fuck, Rudy wasn't ND's best "Rudy". He was just their biggest money whore.
