Colorado and Colorado State play on Sunday night.

interestingly, CU turns around and plays @Toledo the next Thursday.

edit: CU-Toledo is actually Friday. i got some bad info off a CU board and was too lazy to double-check.

Never thought I'd see the mighty Buffs playing at a MAC facility.

on Thursday, no less. if anything this CU AD has demonstrated he'll do what it takes to get on TV...including a 3 day game week. trap?

it's a replacement game for someone....Miami (OH) was also on this schedule at one time (@Miami) as a return trip for year before last. i'm not sure if that's it, though. maybe angrymike knows if he comes in.

Well if they lose they can call Van for a list of excuses as to why they lost a Thursday trap game, or Mstool as to why they had to travel all the way to Toledo.

I am going to the Iowa State game on Thursday but I'm hoping to get home in time to catch the end of the Oregon-Boise State game.

I was planning on going to the UCLA-SDSU game but that may be moved due to the fires in La Canada.

You're right, Lax, home team underdogs playing nationally televised conference games aren't a safe pick. Not at all. Those games are just like any others. No difference.

Yep.

You may just want to stay away from Vegas.

I plan on doing my best Quad McWheels impression by the time that game rolls around. Getting blackout drunk and ramming my chair feet first into the wall repeatedly.
Fantastic

Van, I'm not a betting man, however if I was I'd bet that you come up with a plethora of excuses if and when the condoms lose.
Injuries, travel, wrong day, too many days off, not enough days off, grass was too long.

I would recommend bookmarking this site for tv game schedules. It's a much better format than the LSU site.

I'm all for the smaller conference teams going undefeated and creating chaos. The more this happens, the more pressure it puts on this horrid system of ours, and the more it reinforces the need for a playoff. Jsc, if everything works out perfectly every year, we will never see change, and if I'm not mistaken, you're an avid playoff supporter.

Go Boise!

i'd be wary. there's a chance any true "chaos" becomes a satisfaction in it's own right that fails to adequately call the system in question. sort of a "Cinderella" syndrome much like the NCAA tournament where it gets marketed to death and nothing changes.

undefeated "mid-major" teams playing in the lower tier of BCS bowls against 1, 2 loss Big Ten/Big XII/SEC/Pac-10 teams doesn't threaten the system, IMO.

True, chaos, in and of itself probably won't accomplish much, but hopefully the more undefeated D1 teams we have not getting a chance to play for a title bolsters the headway on antitrust suits.

10 Hawkins lost track of time looking up jobs in the classified section of the Boulder Daily Camera

9. The good QB got hurt in the CSU game and Hawkins had to put his son back in the line up

8. The good RB had a bad day

7. The Offensive Coordinator had a bad day

6. The Defenseive coordinator had a bad day

5. Wow, those stadium lights were really bright

4. "I knew we'd be flat after the CSU game"

3. There was a fire, locusts, a terrible flood, I had a flat tire, I SWEAR TO GOD IT WASN'T MY FAULT

2. I was really drunk at the time- I mean, No comment

1. We thought we were playing an intra-mural game

Why do people keep saying that they want mid-majors to go unbeaten so it will cause chaos and help lead CFB to a playoff? This has been happening about every other year and the NCAA won't even consider a playoff. Heck, it happened just last year. And in 2006. And 2005. Playoffs, much like the NCAA busting USC for death penalty-worthy violations, aint happening. Not in our lifetime. You can have all the chaos you could imagine (we pretty much do every year anyways) and there still won't be a playoff. The best case scenario is we get a Plus-one by 2020. But even that is unlikely. The quicker people just accept this or go watch more NFL games like I do, the better off you'll be.
