They just flashed a stat from the Iowa game, showing Iowa's only had two penalties, and NI has had ten...and still NI is in position to win in Kinnick!
Funny shit.

I hope their kicker's got a deep leg. UNI at the Iowa 29.

7 seconds left, UNI might try a sideline play to gain a few more yards.

FG blocked. They're celebrating in Iowa City. Ferentz has worked another miracle!

This is exactly why Iowa should NEVER again schedule these OOC games against in-state powerhouses.

This would be the mother of all weird-whacky-zaney endings to a game if UNI gets another chance.
Well, the second weirdest. Colorado getting 5 downs to punch it in still pwns.

Dear UNI kicker,
Please feel free to start toward the ball BEFORE the holder puts the ball down.
Sincerely, Everyone

Nah, they would've improved over the course of the season, so the loss wouldn't have counted. Also, it was a season opening trap game, at home.
Frankly, with the odds so firmly stacked against them, I'm impressed Iowa managed to sack up and win this one.

What was the spread on this game or was there a spread? I couldn't even find it in the paper, did Las Vegas take it off the board?

You're right, Van.
Rack theOSU for sacking up as well and making a statement when the Trojans come into the Horseshoe.

JON would've have an epic meltdown Jack Nicolson style where he would've pretended like everything was cool, then would've snapped and started wielding the axe all over the place.

Ferentz just testing the waters to see if he can regress his talent to 1AA level.

Today has been a day of close games for a couple top 25 teams. Who knows, maybe Northern Saskatchewan State Tech of William and Mary does indeed have a puncher's chance against Florida.

Pretty disappointed in the performance but not that surprising. UNI played a damn good game. First half just couldn't match their intensity and mix that with having god only knows how many starters injured/suspended and I'm not too shocked. I don't get too upset about poor performances in the first game. I can't remember the last time we played well in the opener. We will be fine. Good job UNI, good job Iowa special teams, and now let's get healthy and improve. That's all you can do. Like I said before the game, this game is meaningless and we wouldn't know anything about this team. UNI has a lot of guys that can play at this level. They looked faster than I had expected and they had a great gameplan. Took advantage of our spots where we had guys out and Coach Farley had them fired up. They played us toe for toe and that was no fluke. Now it's time to focus on ISU. Lots of work to do if this team wants to win in a tough environment next week.
