Doesn't Anno Domini refer to after Jesus death, not his birth?
Also, I wonder why the western world would choose to date their civilization after a mythical figure that never really existed?
Damn stupid Catholics... who the fuck are they to decide what number year this is?
What number year are we really in now, Felix? How many times has the sun really rotated around the Earth?
Surely, a learned scholar such as yourself can provide these answers.

I've never said Jesus didn't exist-although there are lots of people that question whether in fact he ever existed, given the fact that the only "evidence" that he ever did live is accounts in the bible and a couple of passages from two rather obscure texts.....I'm pretty sure there pprobably was somebody named Jesus that lived and claimed to be the son of god.....however, he's simply one in a long line of people that made similar claims....

no idea....my suggestion would be to consult India, they're probably the oldest surviving civilzation in the world

well, the sun doesn't rotate around the earth, but if your asking how many times the earth has rotated around the sun, my guess would be 4,533,272,396
give or take half a billion

Is this what you want to be laughing at when Jesus returns?

so this god entity doesn't have a sense of humor?
I mean lets keep it real here....I'd think that it would get pretty grim having to create epidemics, make tsunami's, floods, tornados, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, cyclones, avalanches, famines, and other catastropic events that kill hundreds of thousands of people off, and turning around and having to condemn a big percentage of those people to hell so I'd have to believe "he"'d need a little levity in his life

Perplexing???
The next time I entertain the thought of making a run at humor, I will be sure to run it past you first.
