Beating Wisconsin is nothing. We should beat them. So that's why its no biggie when Goober wears an Iowa avatar. But beating Penn State is different. I got some old posts from the past week and offseason from Mgo, Van (mostly him), m2, and Jsc that I am going to have to link up! Van's shit talking about how MSU is so far superior to Iowa and how we will have absolutely no shot at Penn State. Dude talked a lot of shit and, like I told him, he knows nothing about Big-10 football. I tried telling him to just shut up but he kept running his mouth! Thanks for the laughs Van!!

Well, so far Iowa looks like the superior team. But remember they haven't won in E. Lansing in fucking EONS. And I expect that to continue.

If we were playing next week........maybe. But by the time Iowa and MSU face off, MSU will be playing for nothing. Your season is pretty much over already unless you go on some sort of miraculous run to contend in the Big-10 (that won't happen). Not only is Iowa a lot better than MSU, but they will be playing for something while MSU will not.

Like I keep saying...........we love the doubters!

I said before the year............Iowa, Penn State, and Ohio State are your Big-10 title contenders. Now Iowa and tOSU have the heads up. That game in Columbus will probably be for the title.

What the fuck are you talking about? I didn't hop off any bandwagon. I just stated some concern. With all the injuries Iowa had, how could you not be concerned? It would be foolish to just assume the "next man in" was going to play very well. But they did, and I was wrong.

When you're without your #1 RB, TE, WR, LT, RG and are down to your 4th cornerback, it takes a special team to continue winning ballgames. And this is a special team. I've never been happier to have been wrong!

Iowa beat the snot out of Arizona too and destroyed their rival on the road. I don't think we have much more to prove. Our we national title contenders? Of course not. But we're very much Big-10 contenders and a BCS Bowl is not an unrealistic goal. I have been saying all along that Penn State was overrated but they're still a pretty decent team. But to fall down by 10 points in what was one of the most difficult environments we will see in CFB all year and pull out a victory shows this is a damn good team. PSU had revenge on their minds and came out fired up. Plus, the rain really hurt our passing game (which is the strength of our offense) and we still managed to do enough to win. Fact is, this team is for real. And you never know- maybe we can get lucky as shit like 2002 Ohio State. Doubtful, but anything can happen.

Iowa beat Arizona by 10 at home...not a snot beating...but I do agree with everything else in your post....

Did you watch the game? Score doesn't indicate how that game really went. They got a garbage TD against our 2nd string D with a minute or so to go and it was their only offensive TD.
