Barbell slipped during workouts and hit his neck. May be under going surgery right now. Had a spotter, and that guy may have saved his life.

Heard that on the radio today. Yes he was undergoing surgery. Huge thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.

What a sackless pussy. If I coached that kid, I would've had his spotter leave him writhing.

From what I heard it was 275 and not 20.

Stafons had a rough life, he was raised by his grandpa who passed away Stafons freshman year at USC (who he points to in heaven after every score) he used to have "big papa" written on his eye black for every game.
Hopefully Stafon will be able to get a medical redshirt even though this was after his 4th game of the season and can get the support from the Trojan family to get himself through this.
Medical redshirt rules state a playercan only play in 30% of the teams game, USC makes it to a bowl game and mathmatically Johnson as well as Fangupo and jones can all get medical redshirts

I think we will see Allen Bradford get a lot more carries

Watching the news today, they're saying it'll be six weeks before they even let Johnson attempt to speak. He's still on a ventilator, and his doc says that were it not for his being an athlete with a really well developed neck he would've died.

Helluva week. Adding to the list of the injured/suspended, the big D-lineman Hebron Fangupo also broke his leg in the WSU game, so both he and Johnson are out for the season.

If anybody gets the chance to watch what happened to Fangupo...don't. Just give it a pass. You don't want to see it. It was fucking ugly.

Seriously, why couldn't this have happened to Tim Tebow? I can see it now...Tebow runs onto the field with a neck brace and he calls the plays with sign language that He learned in a week and taught His team in 2 days. Maybe something like THAT could actually get the media to recognize Him.
