Fuck it. As badly as I want Hawkins fired, I just can't bring myself to root against the Buffs again. So far, so good. Already inside the 25 on the opening drive...

Looks like another long night of the announce team struggling to pronounce Riar Geer's name correctly.

Tell me that safety isn't on scholarship.

Nice run by Speedy, even if the TD doesn't hold up. That little open field juke was sweet.
Nevermind. TD Buffs!

"2nd and 4, lets throw."
Took Stewart right out of the offense. AGAIN!
Only a FG.

I don't know what stunned me more: How insanely wide open behind the safeties both WVU WRs were on that first play, or how badly the strong armed "athlete" QB from WVU overthrew such an incredibly wide open receiver.
Then there was the second play, where the Colorado D gave 'em another TD, and since it didn't involve a passing attempt WVU gratefully converted it.
Wow, that Colorado D looked scary bad.
Nice answering drive though, capped off by a sweet run and dive for six.

WVU is doing every thing they can to gift wrap this one for the Buffs, yet they're no match for Hawkins' terrible playcalling.

pretty much. Kiesau-Helfrich. meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
all the arrows of suck point to the top.
those first two plays by WVU were hilarious bad D for CU. WVU is clearly unafraid to try the big play against CU.

dan's new gel look is a nice touch to the "wtf is going on" sidelines image.

CU has success when they run the ball. but won't stick with it.

cody is terrible. i admit i thought he could be decent, legit QB as a freshman.....but he hasn't got any better. maybe worse. he can only see the flat and never the middle of the d zone.
why and how he's the best QB at a BCS school with the attractive amenities CU has is a real question mark.
but, as bad as CU's D is and as much as WVU is trying to give this one away......CU is only down 14-10 which is miracle work compared to Toledo.

Well, i guess Hawkins just showed me. Nice job avoiding the blitz and getting the TD. Still sucks, tho.

Dear lord. This game has just been a comedy of errors so far. Any halfway decent team would be up by two scores on West Virginia right now, yet Colorado has found a way to squander nearly every opportunity WVU has handed them.

see, that's what a John Blake team would do. but, Buffs still only down by 4.
2 QB sacks in a row, Ron Collins is a genius.

last year's game was also a tard-fight.
WVU misses a FG in OT to hand it to CU.....while Bill Stewart proves he's almost as dumb as Hawkins in clock management.

I didn't watch the game tonight, but I remember the CU-WVU game last year in Boulder. I recall Stewart completely fucking that game up. Didn't he sit on the ball at midfield in a tie game with a minute to go last year? I remember laughing hysterically at what a dumbshit he was.

pretty much. Erin Andrews said the WVU sideline was "in complete confusion" on WVU's last drive when Stewart didn't stop the clock to give his team a chance to win in regulation. i was teaching MWF last year at 9 AM and since class was somewhat sparsely attended the Friday after that Thursday night game....we were laughing at a what a moron Stewart was at the beginning of class. however, he's 10-3 since that game. Hawkins is 3-9. or something like that.

late, meaningless CU TD. backdoor action. an interesting sidepoint is that it's been since the mid 80's i think since CU was a 17 point dog to an unranked team. they have twice in their last 5 games under Dan the Man. at NU last year and at WVU.

.
Why would a good QB want to go to CU when the head coach's son is the starting QB, and will be for 2 more years?
