I don't know why PSU would have much of an interest in this game other than it's a good game.

Both Iowa and Michigan will lose at least 2 conference games this year and the only way State Penn is going to win the conference is if they win out. This game is irrelevant to PSU's conference title hopes unless Iowa ends up 7-1 in the conference- though I think that's unlikely.

Bad news for Iowa..........

We have a local radio host here that's from Michigan and is the biggest Michigan homer I've ever known and he says that Michigan has absolutely no chance against Iowa because Iowa is too physical.

Ricky is bi-polar. I'm convinced of it. He has an NFL arm and makes throws that no other QB in the Big-10 can make. But he makes some of the dumbest decisions too. That said, Iowa is not winning in spite of Stanzi like some think. He might hand teams a free 7 points but he always more than makes up for it. Everyone looks at the 2-3 boneheaded plays he makes a game and forgets about the dozen or so great plays he makes. If he can ever cut down on the mistakes he will be a great QB.

really, my sentiment began with 'i hope you run the table but that guy's going to fuck it up.' i really don't know what the argument here is since i'm not trying to argue whether or not he played well enough to beat michigan since, well, i guess you guys won the game, right? if you think about it, i'm actually on your side here, but that guy kind of isn't very reliable. hope i'm wrong.

Let me say, Wisconsin is already up 7-0 against Iowa. Perhaps 10-0. This is because we know Ricky is going to just hand them 7-10 points. Same with the following week.

But even with that, he makes up for the free points he gives away and he has made a lot of clutch throws in his career. When we really need Ricky to sack up and make a play, he does. That's why I'd say he is reliable.

Every game this year Ricky has given away free points, he's made plays that have led to more points scored by Iowa than he gave away. Is he going to get to the NFL by playing like this? Heck no. But that's good enough in college. Now, if he can clean up the mistakes he will be a high NFL draft pick. But the question is CAN he correct these mistakes? We will see.

I'll back up a bit and admit Stanzi is not "terrible," but he does make some extremely bizarre decisions sometimes. Especially for a guy who's got some experience. He's lucky that he's got a great D to bail him out and an O line that gives him protection. I do think Iowa would be scary good though if they had a better qb. 14-3 as a starter would suggest he's fairly reliable though, so I'll give him that much.

eh, i get this. it's pretty much the same thing we say about forcier [albeit he only has five games to his credit]: a lot of freshman mental errors and then... BAMN, dickrod benches him for a pair of cleats.

i guess you deal with the chaotic play because it works out over time, but sooner or later when you're playing with fire... then again, it's similar to 02 when we sat back waiting for fate to bite osu in the ass, so maybe you have that going for you.
