OU-Texas in game

Bradford just hurt his shoulder again, on the same type of play. He got sacked, landed on his shoulder, and that's all she wrote.

Good night now.

I'm not a Big XII fan but what did you guys do to deserve Fussberger as the announcer?

I feel bad for the guy.

I'm not sure why he decided to take the fall as he did. He could have rolled so that he landed on his back.

Oh well, it looks like OU will have to depend on their stud d line and blitzing to keep them in it.

Good game so far.

This is turning into a nightmare season for OU. Who would've ever guessed OU would have three losses by October 18th?

Sam, I hope you didn't cost yourself quite a bit of $$ with this recurring shoulder injury, which may cause some NFL people to wonder about your ability to hold up to the pounding of a sixteen game regular season played at high speed.

All that being said, OU is dominating this game so far. Their D has McCoy uncomfortable so far.

OU has to get more out of this portion of the game. They can't settle for FGs against an habitually slow starting Texas.

HUGE error by Robinson, bailing out OU with a stupid P.I. That was like a turnover since OU would've had to punt there otherwise.

with Bradford out, no TD on either drive is bad news....even if the D steps to keep OU hanging around.

The P.I. leads to another FG by OU.

Glass half empty or half full? OU happy to score again, or they're in trouble because they can't keep settling for FGs? Texas happy to hold OU to FGs, or they're in trouble becase OU is controlling the play so far?

This is shaping up to be OU dominating the first half, but not getting enough out of it. They're not going to hold down Texas all game long so they'd better burp up some TDs in there somewhere.

OU rapidly becoming Rehab U. for the QB position. Bradford, Jason White.

Texas O in disarray so far. A huge confusion on the O-line led to the early sack and fumble, and Colt still hasn't completed a single pass. The OU D has Texas rattled.

That catch will be overturned. He was out of bounds.

Hmmm, that's close. His left toe may have still been touching before he lifted up...

Waiting on the review...

Nope, no catch. Texas now has 3rd and 20 and McCoy still hasn't completed a single pass.

that's a pleasant surprise. as an OU fan you can expect the worst in Dallas, Texas. don't forget the two HUGE personal foul calls last year "protecting" McCoy running OB. Both were ticky-tack at best and led to UT points.

Finally gets their first completed pass, but it was just a safety valve pass, well short of a 1st down. OU will get good field position here.

Doesn't look like Bradford is coming back today.

Neither team seems to even be trying to run the ball. They're both using swing passes as their running games.

Mace is now giving me the finger...

OU again back in Texas territory following another swing pass.

Ah, shit, now DeMarco Murray is hurt, following the tackle on the swing pass. From his angry reaction, he looks worried.

Brown with a great run for OU, and Texas misses a fuckload of tackles.

false start...

here comes the inevitable 3rd and long we don't even sniff converting and another FG try.

OU back in FG position, which is where they keep stalling out...

with Jones, OU couldn't take advantage when Miami bailed em out with penalties.

Eighteen different penalty flags on 3rd and forever, and OU throws a ricochet pick...

OU was offsides, nullifying the pick. The pick would've been a joke, as the defender committed a huge P.I. anyway.

1st down...

DeMarco Murray back in. Whew, for OU.

Moby pissed at me now too...

OU stalls out in the red zone again...

OU receiver should've made that catch. It was there for him. Big miss.

...and OU missed the FG.

Yep, this is shaping up to be OU squandering their opportunities. Texas is going to get their shit together eventually, and when they do OU will regret all these missed points.

Good point. Saw the Iowa helmet av, thought it was Mace...

Texas is getting their ass kicked at the line of scrimmage. Their O is being manhandled.

not hatin' on ya, Van.

hatin' on Kevin Wilson.

OU should be using brown like they do murray in my opinion.

it's like when Brown is in...it's going to be a run..to him...up the middle.

Big punt return for OU, already back in Texas territory...

OU has to get a TD out of one of these drives. :dorothy voice: They just have to!

End of the 1st quarter. Texas should feel thrilled they're only down six after all that, and OU should be both discouraged and encouraged. Discouraged, because their O can't execute in Texas territory, and Bradford's toast. Encouraged, because their D is winning this game, and their O is moving the ball well between the thirties.

OU has been playing downhill this whole game, with the field position advantage being entirely theirs. Texas hasn't even mounted a threat yet. They've just been trying to hold on and hang in...

So far typical, our offense absolutely sucks. Greg Davis looks to be in the fetal position right now. Good news is that only being down 6 pts bodes very well for Texas when the wake up call comes.

Neither team can run the ball. That has to favor Texas eventually, with McCoy vs Landry Jones. Looks like McCoy will have to win this thing with his legs though.

OU fumbles a handoff. HUGE, HUGE fucking play, as OU was driving.

Then OU adds insult to injury with a late hit to McCoy.

OU is TRYING to keep Texas in this thing, it seems.

I admit that was a shitty call, the defender can't help his height.

Brutal PI call...Texas can't move the ball themselves but the refs are chipping in.

Nice run by Fozzie. If Texas could run the ball at all they'd win this thing.

Jesus, the OU D is just slaughtering the Texas O-line, and the OU DBs have locked up McCoy's receivers. He's running for his life on every pass attempt...

...but there's another defensive penalty on OU, giving Texas a P.I. Is OU going to penalize themselves into the first score by Texas?

Mushmouth just said it: Texas has 30 yards of offense, but 50 yards of defensive penalties by OU.

Vito Corleone wrote:I admit that was a shitty call, the defender can't help his height.

The hands to the QB's head is another BS call when a defender is trying block the throw and he follows through and touches the QB's helmet pretty much on accident. They need to flag the hits with intend...not the incidental contact.

stupid play, our OC is calling an extremely bad game, why the hell do you not challenge a freshmen DB on his first play he is out there due to injury. But no he calls a stupid bubble screen.

McCoy is playing stupid as well.

HUGE 17 yard sack on McCoy! There goes that drive.

This is utter domination by the OU D.
