Can't say that we're there yet, because we need to win next week to have any shot at a WC birth.
However, the Texans defense has given up exactly 0 points in the 2nd halfs of their last three games. Frank Bush and the Texans defense have looked absolutely horrible at times this season, but they are starting to come around.
The pressure is still lacking on the QB when dropping back. Palmer had all day to throw, but Bush only rushed four for a majority of the day. Palmer had to settle for a lot of underneath stuff against our secondary. The linebackers diserve a lot of credit because they are wrapping up quite nicely and not allowing any YAC at all. The defense is making all the adjustments needed in the second half of games. Things are looking up.
Kyle Shanahan's offense is still struggling to run the ball, but he is starting to make adjustments on getting Steve Slaton involved. Slaton had 6 receptions for 102 yards last week and he also had 6 receptions for 60 yards the week before. Slaton is so dangerous in open space with his quickness. Shanny and Kubiak are starting to realize that forcing the run isn't going to win this team football games because they can heave it 40 times a game and still burn defenses.
If the defense can continue the great play in the second half of football games, then the Texans have a shot at a winning season. But first things first, they must win two in a row.
