Officiating...

I hate to throw my own under the bus. But I honestly think that this is the worst officiating i've seen in college.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4577932

Between the phantom unsportsmanlike, the created personal fouls and EVERY game there seems to be a completely egregious pass interference called.

I stopped going through the college referee training process so I don't know if there is some point of emphasis that is being misinterpreted. But...honestly it just seems like they are making things up as they go.

I was flipping between that game and the ND game. I saw shit calls go against Arkansas and SC, enough to make me wonder what the hell was up?

Officiating is getting worse, not better.

Agree 100%

Arkansas got hosed on a few calls there at the end, but that personal foul was such a brutal call.

The WR from UF, Riley Cooper, gets away with so much holding when he runs his routes. He should have also been flagged for Off PI in the end zone on UF's final drive when Tebow underthrew him.

Exactly. I see this scenario WAY too often where the offensive player will PI, but it is not called because the offensive player did not catch the ball. However, the defensive player is scrutinized much more heavily whether the pass is caught or not.

And can we please stop with flags being tossed several seconds after the receiver makes his case to the official, please? Makes me sick to see a db make a play, watch the inevitable complaining by the wr, and then see a flag fly several moments later. If the foul is there then it is there and shouldn't rely on an offensive player whining like a bitch to get a call.

Didnt watch much of the SEC game but the officiating in the USC vs Notre Dame game was horrible. Everson Griffen gets a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty for flexing his muscles and less than 10 plays later manti teo does the same thing and doesnt get a call. Allen Bradford gets his helmeted twisted sideways by the face mask and they dont make the call yet a notre dame player gets hit by Taylor Mays shoulder pads and they call a spear because the Notre dame player had lost his helmet. Worst officiated game ever

It went both ways, dick bag. USC didn't get flagged for a PI when they went through Deion Walker's back, nor did Gallipo get flagged for hitting Clausen after he slid. And if you don't call the penalty on Mayes, you can call it on the DB who ripped his facemask off. Add to it all of the holds that weren't called (both ways) and the shitty calls pretty much evened themselves out.

And when the fuck did T'eo do that? I'm calling bullshit.

A preemptive apology for the Referines this weekend? Not a bad idea, if history is any guide.

Then be glad, Sam, because they will not let Bama lose, not if they can help it.

That must be the "ringer" crew that comes in to insure a victory to the preferred team.

have yet to find pics of teo standing over McKnight and flexing, here are some of the facemask that wasn't called on Notre dame

There was also a play where an nd player I think it was teo, on McKnight 3 yards out of bounds and there was no late hit call but Mays hit allen while the he was in bounds and making a move to stay in bounds and they called Mays for a late hit.

It wasn't T'eo moron, it was Ian Williams. It could have and possibly should have been called, but it wasn't.

You are a bleeding vagina.

Whoever it was it was 3 yards out of bounds and wasnt called while Mays hit allen in bounds and was called for a late hit.
Then you have Everson Griffen flex after sacking clausen and gets a 15 yard penalty, teo stands over McKnight a few plays later and no call
scott smith grabs Allen Bradfords facemask and twists his helmet and gets no call, Taylor Mays leaps over a guy who lost his helmet and only hits the guy with his legs as he is trying to avoid hitting him and gets called for hitting a "defenseless reciever" what the fuck is he doing on the field if he is defenseless. And there was no face mask that lead to the guy losing his helmet
There was a hold on god damn nearly every play clausen dropped back to make the throw, the refs were too busy looking for pf calls on the Trojans to call the holding penalties on the irish o line.

And there was a fucking hold every time Barkley dropped back to pass. Again, bullshit on T'eo flexing. Show me. You do realize that the ref is standing right next to Griffen telling him to knock it off and he keeps doing it before he throws the flag, right? Of course not. Because even in a game where your team won, you still have to cry like a little bitch. There were shitty calls both ways. Pinkard also went through Tate to knock the pass down on the second to last play of the game. Or the fact that Rudolph's TD could have just as easily been called a TD, at which point they wouldn't have overturned it for lack of definitive evidence.

So keep counting your facemask penalties, and cry over pussies like Desmond Robinson getting hurt because the grass was too long. Eat a dick.

Everson needs to stop being a thug of a dick with the flexing and celebrating bullshit. Make the sack, go back to the huddle and do it again. Quit giving the other team a turnover, which is what you're doing whenever you give them an automatic first down via the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in a situation where they otherwise would've been forced to punt.

WWSED, Everson, WWSED.

(What Would Sedrick Ellis Do?)

Couldn't agree more. If it is a foul the flag should fly the minute you see it. It should be a reaction, not a thought process. Only exception is grounding when the R needs to check with the HL and LJ on ball beyond LOS and potential receivers in the area.

Sad, sad day for all officials, but mostly those in the SEC. I have said it for years the best officials continue to be found in the Big 11 and Big 12.

Pac 10 refs are the worst
