SMU v Houston
It's still not what it was pre-death penalty days, but it's slowly gaining tread. Second year head coach June Jones has SMU at .500 midway through the season. This after going 1-11 last year. They are headed in the right direction and Jones is nabbing some decent recruits. They still have a long way to go, but I wouldn't be surprised if SMU starts competing for the C-USA title in 2-3 years after Jones has a full bevy of recruits on his watch.
Now that Houston has gained some national exposure and have a legit shot at a top 15 season, they will certainly have better prospects to choose from. Not only that, but Sumlin and Keenum will probably come back next season to give another crack at being a BCS buster.
Maybe 2-3 years from now this will be two top 25 teams going at it on a Saturday night. That would be sweet.
