Very poor play calling there by Ohio State. Plenty of time left for Iowa.

Very suspect to not even try to get the ball downfield.

Yep, Ferentz has to try to win the game when it's there to be won, especially on the road, for all the marbles.

Playing for O.T. was just weak.

Mace, I don't know about you but this fucking hurts. Damn. Hell of an effort by both teams. Big-10 football at its finest. Way to go Buckeyes, now go win the Rose Bowl. Win next week we're BCS bound. Iowa and Ohio State can play with ANYBODY. as good of a game as there's been all year in CFB. It just sucks to be on the wrong end. Actually, it really fucking sucks.

Probably not. They can play with each other, though.

Daniel Murray is a shit kicker. And not in the good kinda way.

Daniel Murray can only make clutch kicks. I don't know why they redshirted Trent Mossbrucker. He's a better kicker wih a better leg. I have no doubt he will beat Murray out next year. As for the missed kick yesterday, he just pushed it to the right if I recall correctly. Its hard to remember all off his chip shot misses.

Of course Stross had a total of 3 drops before he found the bench for the rest of the game. Costly drops by a senior who has been an outstanding receiver for Iowa.
I would not call him an outstanding receiver. I would say an average receiver that has underachieved. His drops yesterday pretty much summed up his disappointing career. McNutt and DJK are gonna be scary good next year!

As for a QB controversy, I think the best thing that could happen to Ricky Stanzi was yesterday's performance by James Vandenberg. He went into this season with no competition and was just handed the job. He didn't need to work hard in the offseason. And we saw little improvement out of Ricky this year. In fact, I'd say he made even more mistakes than last year. But with Vandenberg showing some promise, this will push Ricky in the offseason. He's got to figure that he'll have a short leash next year with Vandenberg proving he's a capable replacement. I have a feeling we'll see a new and improved Ricky Stanzi next year. I really do.

They never will, nor should they.
