I have not read any Krakauer books. Do they usually take an investigative bent? Is the book supposed to unearth anything new, or is it merely a retelling of the situation? Not everyone is immersed in the details, perhaps this is meant to be retrospective, historical?

Sounds like Pat really wanted to go after the PNAC criminals who prepared and initiated the New Pearl Harbor of 9/11. As for McCrystal's disgraceful behavior following the fragging, this lunatic needs to be Nathan Jessup-ed ASAP.
