"Healer." "Wise One." "Spiritual Leader."

Seriously, the deference to the Word of Dungy is getting Tebow-Esque over at NBC and Goodell's office.

Did you watch the NBC broadcast last night? Have you watched prior NBC broadcasts on previous Sundays? Michael Vick, the new player advisory committee Dungy is now appointed to, etc etc.

I was :meds: about all this Dungy stuff being a mentor to every troubled black dude at first, but I've come around. Think about it. A white guy, say Steve Young, tries to mentor these thugs. Think they'll listen to him? Hell no. They see a tint of black in Dungy and they may have a chance. If you think Dungy has bad intentions, you're insane. He's being the Bill Cosby "uncle tom" but seems to be making headway. Good for him.

Good God. You forgot to log in with your 1smoothG troll. Nice drive-by though.

You defend unclassy Belichick, who cheats in the NFL and on his wife, but you call Dungy a POS?

You've got to be trolling now.

I defend unclassy Bill? Hmmm... LINK? Is this another of your vodka induced coma-takes where you're confusing indifference with another word?

Seriously. For a black man who is so keenly aware of how his race was repressed for centuries, he's got no problem speaking out against faggot marriage. Furthermore, I don't see him reaching out to white dudes with issues like Matt Jones and Ryan Leaf. Why? Because they're not black. He's a God damned hypocritical bigot. So Belichick is an asshole. Big deal. I doubt he's a racist. Or a bigot.

Always been my beef with Dungy.

Ragging on Cuntler out of one side of his mouth, while pleading for clemency for Vick out of the other... are you kidding?

I don't really know what the people above me are talking about. But I think Dungy is a good analyst and being fresh out of the league gives him more insight than the everyday broadcasters. His successes in coaching and at the book store have garnered him enough respect to be very Tebow-esque in the eyes of the suits at NBC - and I don't blame them one bit. Dude is pretty legit. I don't know how involved he was in Mike Vike's comeback, but it only seems natural that he would counsel some of the troubled players in the league.
