Any of you ever partake? I've often wanted to, if not for the savings for the people watching. However, I've never been motivated enough to answer the alarm at 4:00 am after a night of binging on food and drink.

When Black Friday comes
I'll stand down by the door
And catch the grey men when they
Dive from the fourteenth floor.
Actually, my brother will be here from Scottsdale and we'll be sittin' in the back yard drinking and grilling.
Much rather do that than join some wierd herd of maniacal shoppers.

Never leave the house...this will be year 55 in a row.
My slogan:
"Rack me...fuck; the economy."
It works great, besides Nebraska plays Oklahoma ever Friday after Thanksgiving...I refuse to miss Chris Schenkel and Bud Wilkenson on the call....that biased bastard.
Sincerely,
1967

Never have. Never will.
Did it once. Never again.

Ohh...Black Friday is when Peter Warrick stops by and straightens out our plumbing. Is it Friday yet?

My wife's favorite day of the year (not kidding, she's said that on more than one occasion). She's managed to drag me along on more than one occasion as well.

Mrs. Rumps and I have done it the past three years. It's really no big deal and we get all the shopping done in one day. We're usually home by 10am and crash for a couple of hours before the games come on.

This is the 1st year I'm looking forward to it as it will be my last one to endure. Seeing the customers lined up early in the morning to get a chance at a good deal and being sold out in 20 minutes pays off for them. What I'm looking forward to is when customers come into the store late in the day looking for that "good deal" item. Then the familiar question I get is: "Can I get a rain check???" True display of Darwinism not totally getting over quickly, but fun for me when I break the news.

Ugh. I do most of my shopping online and I start in August. Aside from a few odds and ends of things, I'm finished.

Did it once...last year.
Got a 6-galling Porter Cable air compressor with 50-ft hose, hose reel, and brad nailing gun for $79 at Home Depot.
Scored a $300 scrapbooking die-cutter for $100 for wifey.
Got a couple $10 electric griddles from JCPenney for the cabin.
Home by 7:30am to have breakfast with the boy and all was good.
