What I'd like to see is the records versus the other conferences. How many of those SEC games were between two SEC teams that were ranked? Those would cancel each other out. However, they'd still end up with some record where they'd be 7 games under .500. You really have to take out conference games from the discussion because it's a wash in any strength of schedule argument between the conferences.

Also, when it comes to conference talk, do we really care who has the best last place team? What we really want to find out is if we had unbeatens from several conferences, which two are most worthy of playing for the national title. We shouldn't be judging the merits of Texas based on teams like Baylor, Colorado or Kansas. Or is this another just flaw in this system?

Doesn't the BCS somehow use one of the strength of schedule rankings? If so, where is that ranking?

Yes

Yes... don't know.

This is probably not the exact thing you're looking for, but it does show how conferences do against other BCS conferences/ND.

The first record is the overall record and the second is the record against BCS/ ND in OOC games.

SEC 42-6 (.875) 10-4

Big East 32-8 (.800) 9-7

Pac-10 21-10 (.677) 8-7

ACC 30-18 (.625) 9-11

Big Ten 31-11 (738) 5-9

Big 12 35-13 (.729) 4-7

Someone needs to put a (!) in the title of this thread.

After seeing this, I had to run to the bathroom to jack my dick.

Yeah, I guess I can see the excitement of how the league BCS OOC record is padded by feasting on the ACC.

Fully aware of that. UConn blew a 10 point 4th quarter against UNC and Pitt blew a 14 point 4th quarter lead against NC State to help the ACC win this year.
