Brilliant!

Seriously, though, the idolatry you southern guys practice towards football coaches is just kinda disturbing. You're grown men, and he's just a simple, with the emphasis on simple, football coach.

That's what Harley-Davidson fans say, as their similar cop out answer.

It's just college football, and he's just a simple, grouchy redneck. Southern football really isn't life, and Bear really wasn't all that admirable of a figure, no matter how much you guys want these things to be true.

You lost the war. Bear didn't win it back for you, nor will Nick Saban. Deal with it.

Shit, this state fights against Gay Rights more than most. This is the state that keeps voting down gay marriage.

Van...by my count, you've been a member of this board for over 1700 days and you're averaging over 5 posts per day. Yeah...we southerners take this way too seriously.

'Spray, I know you're joking, but there is some truth to that. I often feel like I really don't belong here, and that I'd be a lot happier elsewhere. The South feels like one of those places, along with the U&L and, especially, the East Coast; either the Mid-Atlantic states, or one of the big cities of the Northeast.

Chicago, too. Loved that place, even in winter. Never had to live in snow before, though, so maybe it would grow old, quickly.

I know everyone hates the place, saying it's a shithole and all that, but I absolutely loved New Orleans. I loved Baton Rouge, too. I'm pretty certain I'd love quite a few places in the South.

I just think I'd be happier to live somewhere that actually feels like somewhere. Sacramento doesn't have any specific feel. It's just too generic. I want somewhere with a specific personality, and some history.

A badass college football team would be a plus, too.
