Anyone else having high winds and cold today?
My power was knocked out 3 times yesterday and it's been flickering a little already today. It feels like it's 15 to 20 outside. We're getting flurries and supposed to get some accumulation later.

Winds at about 80 kph = 40 to 45 mph...
Slippery roads, with a flash freeze of the roadways. I think I saw Mary Poppins while driving in my car flying about.

About an hour of rain here this morn as that front moved through but no substantial wind. We hit our high for the day this morning and the temps will drop during the day, still a sauna here compared to what you folks are dealing with. Tonights low will be 52, brrr.

Perfectly still here this morning. We went out for a walk and you could see chimney smoke hanging motionless over the houses that it came from.
39 when we left this morning, should get up to 60 or so. Rain predicted for tomorrow through the weekend.

Call me a pussy, but if I don't have to go to work I'm fine with that.

No winds here in Saskatoon today but it's still cold as hell out.
At least it's warmed up since the -40C temps and colder with the wind chill factor that I dealt with early Tuesday morning.
Present temperature in Saskatoon Saskatchewan...
-20°C

Hell no. If you can survive in these kind of temps for 4-6 months, it makes everything else seem trivial. :wink:Katy wrote:PO, & Otis--

I actually love the cold weather... To me it is better than having a 100 degree with a humidity of 120 in July. Out where Otis is, they curl so they dont have to think about the cold...Otis wrote:Hell no. Last night I heard the trash cans getting pushed around. Judging by how cold it was this morning, I can only imagine how cold it was last night.

I don't mind high temperatures--it's the humidity that kills me. I'm already looking forward to Spring.
