Owner doing the scouting

ESPN Insider

In a sign that drafting a new franchise QB is his top priority, Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder grabbed his top henchman -- executive VP of football operations Vinny Cerrato -- and flew down to attend a University of Texas football game to personally scout Colt McCoy, according to what sources told Redskins Insider.

Former Redskins coach Marty Schottenheimer has been good for some choice quotes in his role as a radio host, and Thursday's quote ranks up there. "When you send Dan [Snyder] out along with Vinny Cerrato, Vinny's going to tell him whatever he thinks Dan wants to hear," Schottenheimer said Thursday on "The Red Zone." "Dan, God love him, I don't know that the analysis and evaluation of quarterbacks is necessarily down his alley."

Nor is it down the alley of most team owners. That's why you hire folks to manage your personnel department and scouting.
I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel for Skins fan. The Redskins have become the Daniels FF team. He needs to hire a GM, then a coach, then let them determine personnel priorities. The Redskins are just as screwed up as the Raiduhs, if not more so.

Not good news.

And to think, I was hoping the ass kicking he received - FINALLY - in the press around town and his team did on the field actually might have taught him a lesson.

Thanks for the article :x

Rack The Snyder.

I knew there was a reason they keep killing the spread and sucking wind at the end of each game.

I did, have hope. Now, I have none.
