All of his bluster & bullshit aside, I'd have to say Dan Hawkins has been totally underwhelming at CU.

4 years ago, Hawk came into a down program with meager talent and made it meager-er. In his 3rd year, with a progressively abyssmal record, the only logical thing to do was lock him in with a 4 year contract extension. Pure. Genius.

Oh, I know some of you will want to put Notre Dame into the mix, but that's wishful thinking: ND has always had talent. It takes a real knack to drive talent away- and Hawkins has that in spades (no pun intended)

They should've just bit the bullet and payed Hawkins off(I know they had the money put together), then hired the best guy they could get with a reasonable pricetag. Could get Bud Foster, Al Golden, or Hauck from Montana. If you're a CU recruit you see a lameduck coach and a program that isn't coming up with the cash to be a major player.

Amazing how WSU has fallen so far so fast. One of the best programs the first half of this decade and now the absolute worst of the worst. I'm dealing with this same shit with Iowa basketball right now so I know how you feel.

I believe Wulff was like the third string waterboy under Doba, who for some odd reason, got the nod.

But to adress the debate here -- Hawk's Snuffs would mop the stadium bathroom floors with Wazzu... since I think most of the Buf's players were recruited from the university's janitorial staff.

But still a shitload better than Wazzu. Hell, didn't CU actually beat a team that didn't play in CUSA?
