Hell yeah Wyoming won. No way would Texas ever put them on the schedule if they weren't a perrenial bowl team. Makes that road win in September look like a quality win for the Horns. And you haters doubt them and dog their schedule.

They were the last MWC school to get in a Bowl game... lets not go overboard here. TCU beat them much more convincingly than Texas did; Wyoming was up right before the end of the half against Texas... against TCU the game was already over... both games were in Laramie. Texas gave up 273 yards and 18 first downs against Wyoming; TCU held them to 173, five first downs all game long... hell Wyoming only crossed the fifty twice all game against the Horned Frogs.

And IIRC, Texas was favored by 31 or so against WY, and didn't cover.

One the 40% of the correct picks I scored on. Rack me.

Not sure if TCU covered, but they probably did. because that's the way they roll.

Texas, and Texasfan more specifically, seem to roll between huge swings of superiority and then inferiorority complex. Bi-polar even.

I don't think they're exposing the Pac-10 as than they are showing that the game against FSU was a fluke bad game for them and that their only other loss was a decent game against one of the best if not the best team in the country. :D

Best team in the country doesn't lose a game, EVER. They must also play in one of the following conferences- PAC 10, SEC, Big 2, Big 11. BCS rules and whatnot. :wink:

Oh, and they can't be from Dallas. That place is a shit hole that needs to be nuked.

I actually had some Floriduh fan trying to explain to me that it was against the rules for a school not in one of the "BCS" conferences to play for the National Title and that's why it was called the "The BCS National Championship"... TCU wasn't allowed to play for the title even if Texas lost to Nebraska; that would have to automatically be Cincinnati because they are in the Big East. I was starting to get a little tipsy and with two friends trying not to crack up at this shit before I looked him dead in the eyes with a straight face and told him he was an idiot and to never procreate for the sake of the species.

Still expecting about 5 SEC losses.

I think the SEC got a dream schedule as far as match ups so it won't be that bad... I mean come on you have to face aTm who has no business in a bowl game, Va Tech will kill Tennsuck (there is one), Northwestern in the Gator bowl (WTF!), Penn State and LSU is a toss up, Cincinnati against Florida is a sham, Ole Piss and OSU is a toss up, UConn has a chance against South Carolina, Arkiesaw gets ECU, and of course we all know the national title game.

It's not even just really limited to the SEC games this season though... the bowl match ups all around are pretty much the suck.

How are teams like Auburn, Texas A&M and UCLA even in bowl games? Who cares what their overall records are when they're well below .500 in their own conferences. A&M is 6-6, but they went 3-5 in a down year for the conference and they got positively destroyed in their only OOC game worth a crap. They're basically 3-6 this year. How is that a bowl team?

not only that, ATM lost to 3 win Colorado.

having been in Norman this last week, was pretty funny watching the OK State people and media acting like playing in the Cotton Bowl means they were a "really good team" this year. for cryin' out loud, they got shut out by 5 loss OU to close the season and *still* strut around like they are a legit #11 team in the nation. if i trusted a Nutt team (don't) i'd bet the house against Poke State.

There are Okie Staters in Norman? I'd have figured that city was about as close to 100% Sooners as anywhere on earth.

One of the weirder games to pick. Can't really see Ole Miss being the favorite. Went with the Cowboys. But these are two of the most inconsistent teams bowling.

Hell, I have no idea what to expect (Note: see my picks so far. ). If Snead comes outta his season-long funk, Ole Miss could be tough. With McClusterfuck going wild, a good passing day by Snead would be tough to overcome. Then again, you don't know which Okie State will show up either.

Screw it. There's only a couple games that matter anyway.

kinda bad writing on my part. i meant in the OKC media and i have some extended family that are Pokes (good people, but misguided). though, Sam, you do see some OSU peeps represent in Norman. not many, but they show.

unless Robinson has a freakish day (possible, kid is a player) or Ole Miss can't stop Tosten...i don't see OSU winning. normal year, this OSU team is in the Alamo Bowl playing a 7 win Wisconsin team. Pokes finally have a "bigtime" DC in Bill Young but still can't stop anyone yet. i'd guess this is one of the weaker Big XII Cotton Bowl teams this decade. of course i say that and they roll the Hotty Toddys.

Doing terribly, and thought Miami would cover this one easily. Jesus, they got pummeled in all aspects but the final score won't show that.
