You're from Macon, Georgia! WHY do you love a team from 'Bama, while hating the team from Georgia?

What in the bloody hell? So I'm taking a look at the box score and A&M has Georgia more than doubled up in total yards, has 15 more 1st downs and is +1 in the turnover battle but trails by 10. How in the fuck is that possible? Gotta love minor bowl games!

Turnovers and special teams. UGA scored at least 3 tds off special teams plays.

Two wows on opposite ends of the spectrum. Special teams and Aggie Defense. Special teams ended up losing this game for us. Our offense who ran up and down the field without scoring jack shit didn't help either. I was proud of our defensive effort until the 4th qtr when we were already beat and gave up. Not that this game meant shit other than I watched as a fan, but I still think we have a good shot at winning the South next year and maybe getting into the BCS with OU and t.u. "reloading" on offense. We'll see.

Oklahoma is going to have 7 experienced offensive linemen who were tossed to the wolves this season. All their receivers, at least any that actually saw the field, except one returning. Two of the top 3 RBs.
Oklahoma only loses eight players off it's 44 man two deep for next season and three of those weren't even starters.

I know OUFan hates to hear optimism from their competition. What's your point? I shouldn't be optimistic? Seriously SCS, fans like you breed hate. I respect OU a ton, but comments like that make people like me who are level headed roll their fucking eyes.

Dude you said we were "reloading" on offense trying to imply it was a rebuilding season... this was the rebuilding season after all the injuries. And to be honest at first I was just trying to point out that you were no correct on it being a rebuilding year for Oklahoma... but you want me to be honest about aTm, no I would not be optimistic if I were a aTm fan; they were one injury on Baylor's team from not being bowl eligible, the Aggies almost lost a home game to Utah State, they only had one game where their opponent did not gain at least 325 yards on offense and had forty + scored on them at least four times that I can think of off the top of my head. Those are the facts behind aTm leading into next season. I would be praying for an 8-4 finish and a slightly better bowl game.

there ya go....my dad had the Theta. and gave me the history of the "Theta" burger in the OKC area going back to Norman in the 60's....from the Split-T near Harding HS in North OKC, to the Johnnie's Charbroiler franchise to the original Boomerang on Lindsey (before all the Sooner honks on this board, closed in about 1981-83 or so). pretty cool old school science from the old man. i had a straight up burger with jack cheese and jalapenos....grass fed beef. the new O'Connell's kinda works. no place to piss in the parking lot on game day, though.

i think the building is still there. i didn't actually make it any further east near campus than the new O'C's and Buchanan Bicycles to say hey to a buddy (and buy a t-shirt). so, i don't know for sure. my pops was telling me there are a lot of Molly Boren's new age of Campus Corner prohibition conspiracy theories around (re: O'Connell's getting the boot at the old location)...and from people who have been around OU and Norman for 30+ years (adults, peeps my dad went to law school with the 70's). though, he wasn't as sold. funny, though. whatever the new O'Connell's becomes it's better by light years than the Al Eschbach All Sports Grill in the same locale.

What did he say that was so wrong? He mentioned the players OU returns. I don't see what's so disrespectful about that.
I think the South is going to be OU's to lose. But if A&M can just find any little bit of a defense next year they will give OU everything they can handle. Don't count Texas out either. I know they're losing a lot of talent, but they'll reload. Nothing wrong with being optimistic, but A&M has a ways to go before they can be taken too serious as a contender.

This, I don't see where SCS was being out of line either, he just outlined why OU should be improved in '10. Plus ATM has to consider that they get a tougher draw with the north next year and they struggled considerably against CU, KSU, and ISU. They get Mizzou, KU and Neb in '10 and we should actually have an O next year.

We lose 5 on offense and 4 on defense. I am still confident it will co
e down to Texas and OU. ATM played out of their minds on turkey day and lost by 10 at home. Texas will still have a top 10 defense. We have a ton of skill players coming back and Garrett Gilbert.

Wow, you sound like one mouth breathers on the OU homer boards. Those same guys who don't into account the fact that Oklahoma had lost two All Americans before the season was even thirty minutes old on offense; one who was a Heisman trophy winner and the other hands down the best TE in college football coming into the season who was supposed to play a pretty serious role as the safety valve with a young line. Played two games without Ryan Broyles and four other games where he was still on the field injured, the top receiver who will be returning next season. Seven injuries on an offensive line that was already rebuilding... Oklahoma is finishing with
one player healthy on the line who was a starter going into BYU. Virtually all the key pieces are returning on a defense that was statistically
better than Texas' while playing a more difficult schedule, that had three shutouts, and held
eight teams under two touchdowns or less in twelve games; only two teams scored more than 20 points on Oklahoma all season long (Texas wasn't one of them BTW). One of the Linebackers who started all season was third on the depth chart before an injury to an underclassman and the ruling that declared another's eligibility used up. Oklahoma's defense will be a freaking
juggernaut next season. The receivers, the Oline, and QB (if he can hold on to the job against Blake Bell coming in and possible Cam Newton) will have experience.
P.S. Oklahoma finished above .500... is already guaranteed even if they lose to Stanford to finish above .500.
