Wildcard Playoff Predictions

Wildcard week is a rematch of 3 games from last week. Will the outcomes of those 3 games be any different this time?

Philly @ Dallas - Being stomped twice in one season is more than a coincidence. Phillys Oline is not nearly as good as a couple of years ago. Dallas 31 Philly 10

Green Bay @ AZ - Which Cardinal defense will show up? Warner looks old and Boldin and Wells are banged up. GB 27 AZ 24

Jets @ Cincy - The Jets aren't really a playoff caliber team and it will show as Sanchez is exposed once again. Cincy 20 NYJ 10

Baltimore @ NE - Flacco holds onto the ball too long (no WRs), and the Ravens have problems in the secondary & little pass rush. NE 28 B-more 20

The best game of the weekend looks like the GB/AZ game.

What say you?

I agree with you on Dallas v. Philly, Joe.
I say Dallas wins by 7.

I also like the Peckers to ruin Dio's weekend.
GB by a FG.

Don't agree on the J-E-T-S and Bungholes.
NY has the #1 defense in the league.
Cincy faded in the 2nd half of the season and down the stretch in particular.
The Cats score less than 14 and NY goes on to play next weekend.

I like the Crows over the Slitriots.
Welker is out, Brady is dinged, and the NE defense isn't what it's been in years past.
You criticize the Baltimore defense and yet they are #3 in the league.
Tough sleddin' for NE.
Crows eek out a hard fought W and we're treated to a few Duane r@nts in the days following.

Good points pops.

I'd say that this year, defenses in general are down, and there isn't a dominate D. The Jets have had their moments, but have broken down a bunch during the season, as evident by getting in by a narrow margin at 9-7 with a couple of 3 loss streaks in the mix. The Bengals are feeling the loss of LB Rey Maualuga, but I think they'll be able to run the ball and get er done at home.

The Patriots Julian Edelman will fill in nicely for Welker and give the Ravens fits.

In the first game I'll go with the Natti to win over the Jets. I can't really give a good reason for this selection. Both teams suck and the Bengals look like they are playing pussy mode but I just feel like Benson will give them something, and Palmer gets his first playoff win.

In the nightcap, Dallas will destroy the Eagles...it may not be a shutout, but it won't be close. Romo will shut the mouths of all his detractors and throw for 300 yards, 3 TDs and the Eagles will not be able to run the ball at all and Sheldon Brown will get his ass burned for a second straight week.

Baltimore beats the Pats without a doubt. Their defense has sucked all year and they never got the running game going. Jets are the best team in the AFC East. B'More just does everything right here and they aren't afraid of road games. Every time I see Flacco he's dangerously accurate; I don't know what some of you are watching. Ravens win easy.

Agree on GB/Zona being the best game. I'll go with Zona simply because they are so much better at home. Plus I want to see them in the NFC title game in Dallas just so Diogenes can watch his team get pounded.

Jets @ Bengals: Jets have great D and great rushing attack, a great combination for advancing. Bengals gave up early last week since they were already in the playoffs and didn't want to face the hot Texans. This one will be a game and Jets pull it out.

JETS - 20
BENGALS - 16

Eagles @ Cowboys: Romo returns to his true non-clutch self and the Eagles take revenge.

EAGLES - 27
COWBOYS - 17

Ravens @ Patriots: BAL defense is tough and Flacco playing better but NE finds a way to grind this out despite Welker's absence.

PATRIOTS - 23
RAVENS - 13

Packers @ Cardinals: AZ resumes their playoff form from last year and rolls over the Fudge.

CARDINALS - 34
PACKERS - 17

Philly @ Dallas - I think Philly is tired of taking shit from the 'Girls and takes it out on them this time. Until Bum's Son wins a playoff game I can't see picking his team no matter what. Eagles- 27, Cowgirls- 20

Green Bay @ AZ - Gotta go with the home team here. So far in his career Aaron Rodgers and big games don't mix. Cards- 34, Pack- 20

Jets @ Cincy - J-E-S-T are too one-dimensional on offense, and the Sanchise isn't ready to take his team on his shoulders and win a game of this caliber yet. Bengals- 24, Jest- 13

Baltimore @ NE - This one to me is damn near a push, but I'm going with the home team and the best QB in the wildcard round. Pats- 28, Ravens- 17

I only rant after victories worth noting, so if they can get past IND, you will hear it until The Superbowl. The Chargers would be a gift in the AFC Title game. I fully expect BAL to get past NWE provided they don't have to rely on Cundiff for a +40 with everything on the line. Losing Welker was a gift and this is exactly the type of game a dynasty on the decline loses where all the post dynasty articles start errupting. Moss will not get it done alone against these guys. Maybe 1 monster catch.

I honeslty do not care about anything but getting a piece of those over rated cunts from down south. :hfal:

If they get that gift, a re-match with Minnesota would be tight but that NFC is looking pretty balanced 1-6 and in all actuality The NFC should be expected to win the big one this year. There is a ton of fire power there and not too shabby defenses. Really looking forward to the NFC games in addition to BAL.

If 5 catches for 60 yartds is fits, I'll take it.

There is no reason to expect this rook to be teh key to their victory when none of their starters got over 51 yards in game 1.

Rice had 103 on the ground at a time when he wasn't even being used the same.

For having a shitty secondary, Brady, Manning and Favre sure seemed to need a lot to go right to get their wins. The over pursuit the Ravens found themselevs doing often ealry on has been addressed. No, they aren't dominating but they are good enough to keep their team in the game. You guys talk like they're San Diego or something.

Welker or no Welker, Baltimore's secondary has been making mistakes all season. The Pats will collect 3 or more PI/defensive holding calls guaranteed. That's not a recipe for success playing on the road against Tom Brady.

That's the only AFC team that matches up well with SD, and it could be the title game. But neither of those teams match the physical prowess of Dallas. I've already done a breakdown of position by position in the inevitable DAL/SD Super Bowl, and it's Dallas overwhelmingly better at almost every spot but I'll save that for four weeks from now.

I don't see how people are taking the Ravens lightly. It seems like every year they have a team like this that peaks at the right time and busts ass.

Of course you would. Since they'll both both be at home on Super Bowl day.

NFC title game will be played in New Orleans.
Even if they squeak by GB/ARZ, it's already been proven that the Cowboys are a better team than the Saints, so having to travel down there would be no biggie.

But back to the WC games, I want to be perfectly clear just so there is no misunderstanding: watch the game tonight and see it unfold exactly how I said it would. Pay attention particularly to the Eagles on the offensive side of the ball in the first half. After Westbrook has about 9 carries for 14 yards, running into that brick wall D-line and then testing the outside only to get swallowed up for losses, Reid will do what he always does. It will be 10-0 and their shit running game will be ABANDONED. Look for McNabb to drop back in shotgun for the rest of the game. Maybe a few draws here and there to Westbrook which Wade's defense will see coming a mile away, but mostly him back there throwing one-hoppers to DeSean Jackoff while McNabb is being planted on his ass by Ratliff, Spencer and Ware. That's what I want you to watch, because it is SO obvious that it will happen.
And watch for Samuel to have a couple bonehead moments like he always does, getting burned by Miles. Teams flood towards Roy for whatever reason and Witten should be open for about 8 catches, 100 yards. Crayton is the x-factor but you know what you're getting from Romo- 300 yards, 3 TDs, no picks. I think as good as the running game is for Dallas (best trio in the NFL) , tonight will be a statement game for the Cowboys passing game and Tony Romo as Mr. January.

Jets are the only team that played last week and won that I'm picking this week. I think Revis can keep Ocho-doucho in check and Benson will get shut down. On Offense the Jets can just grind it out on Cincy with Jones and Greene. As long as Sanchez doesn't have to try and win this game they should be fine. Jets 17 Bengals 13

Pats - Ravens could really go either way. The Ravens pass defense has just disappeared, and even with Welker out I expect Brady to pick them apart. Not sure if there's weather in Foxboro that would be the only thing that would stop him. I also see the Ravens with Rice and McGeehee moving the ball on the Pats - I'll take the Pats in a close one 27-24

Eagles - Cowboys. There's no reason to pick the Eagles other than it's hard as hell to beat a team 3 times in a season, much less back to back. In spite getting hot late, I think Romo is a choker and Wade is history after this game. Eagles 23 Cowboys 20

Cardinals - Packers. Should be the highest scoring game of the weekend. even with Boldin hurt, I like Warner's experience. Card 31-Pack 28

^^^^^^

And it's EXACTLY the way I said it would go. Almost the fourth, and the Eagles have 11 rushes for like 40 yards and they abandoned the run because they have no running game. Tony Romo 220 yards, 2 TDs with a quarter to play. He may not get his standard 300, 3 since they will run the clock out on these slappies. When it comes to playoff football, I know my shit.

How did Filthadelphia even make the playoffs?

Collinsworth is making points also about how they not only make coverage sacks, but they don't need to because the D-line is so stout, they are going to kick McNabbs ass either way. Imagine how many times Favre will get sacked next week? Seven times? I can barely wait to see Childress' grill when the Cowboys are running the score up in the third quarter.

Eat shit you cock sucking loser. How did you like that ass face? LOL you are such a pathetic cunt. You've been one for over a decade so you must be close to menopause. How's that going?

Um maybe it was because The Ravens were losing to the best teams in the league....CLOSELY....oh and except to The AFC West. So I could only talk smak after The Ravens beat...oh The Chargers! Well again there, didn't have much to say because well, THEY DON'T MEAN SHIT. :hfal:

Suck my cock you pathetic chump. You're a shit stain in my dead grandpa's Depends. How did they back in you fucking idiot? They had to win their last game moron. LOL so fucking stupid you don't know what backing in means. They need to lose their last game and wait for help to back in you dumbass. This is why you are a waste of time to deal with. You always have been and still don't know what you are talking about You try so hard to go toe to toe with me but you can't. Save it loser. I can see through your one line mopronic comments and weak ass attempts to bring some credibility to your fan base or shit team. You're a soft cunt just like them.

Good luck next week...you're going to need it. If SD makes the SB it would be because they lucked in due to match ups you fucking cunt.
You can thank NWE and PIT and the shittiest division in football for your success. How proud your dumbass must be....and I know you are because you have no true sense of accomplishment, probably in life too.

The Saints may not have been playing for their playoff lives but nobody can say they didn't want that Dallas game. That was a legit win. The NFC is getting very interesting now. I liked MIN all year but this match could be a big problem especially if AP is fumbling over the ball and Favre is under pressure. Very exciting as I think all road teams have a legit shot. There's a lot of mojo going for the road teams right now.
