what a home schedule!

Iowa will definitely be a preseason Top 10 team and we've got to have the best home schedule in the country to go with it. Wisconsin and Ohio St will be Top 10 teams preseason and both are at home. There's our in-state rival Iowa St (who won a bowl game), Michigan St, and we also get our annual victory of Penn State too. I can't recall a year where we've had a better home schedule than that. Trying to convince the parents to trade me seats because they're right near midfield about 25 rows up and we don't have the greatest seats- though I always say the best seats at Kinnick are anywhere near someone that is not fat. Sitting next to a fatty is brutal because of how crowded the seats are. Anybody got a better home schedule next year than this?

Not bad conference schedule...kind of like what we had a couple years back with PSU, Michigan, etc at home we have these for 2010
Miami of FLA, PSU, Michigan, as the big ones...on the road at Wisconsin and Iowa as the biggies

9/4 Utah State
9/11 Florida State
9/18 Air Force
9/25 at Cincinnati
10/2 vs Texas
10/9 Open
10/16 Iowa State
10/23 at Missouri
10/30 Colorado
11/6 at Texas A&M
11/13 Texas Tech
11/20 at Baylor
11/27 at Oklahoma State
12/4 Big 12 CG (Arlington)
Utah State almost beat Texass A&M last season.

I think we are going to be opening seasons with a patsy to get the team ready for the season going forward. Certainly not an SEC or Texass type schedule though. Opening a series with Florida State at home. Air Force is finally giving us the return trip the contract required and they were trying to avoid and kept postponing on us... they're the reason we will rarely ever schedule a home and home series with the away match on the schedule first; they've put us off for almost a decade coming up with an excuse five different seasons now why the return trip couldn't be accommodated, we weren't going to let them off the hook though and Congress sure as hell wasn't going to let them ante up the money for the buyout clause... tax payers would be PISSED spending $1.3M to avoid an ass whooping on the football field. Cincinnati isn't going to be the same but they're the ones who wanted the one year window in between the games... should have played us this year. We have the "weak" north schedule next season so that's a detraction but overall a pretty damn quality schedule for the Sooners.

When was the last time the Big 10 had 3 top 10 teams in the preseason? 1998?

Is aTm trying to make a case to join the SEC or maybe the Sun Belt so you can play against SEC teams? I would be ashamed of that schedule... absolutely pathetic.

Iowa and PSU on the road, but no Ohio St on the schedule (for the second straight year). So I guess that's kind of a wash.

Wisconsin and Ohio St will be Top 10 teams preseason
What the hell else is new? If Wisconsin
didn't start a season out in the top 10 I'd be shocked

Iowa has the advantage with the top teams at home but I would still favor OSU. Until Iowa beats them they've gotta be the pick. They return a lot too. It's going to be a great year for the Big-10 and I'm glad. I'm tired of us taking a beating from the national media. They won't give our teams props because they hate it that they were so wrong. Not even a peep from the national pundits about the Big-10's success this bowl season. Silence says enough!

Texas Schedule
at Rice
WYOMING
at Texas Tech
UCLA
vs. Oklahoma (Dallas)
at Nebraska
IOWA STATE
BAYLOR
at Kansas State
OKLAHOMA STATE
FLORIDA ATLANTIC
TEXAS A&M
Probably the best non-conf Texas has had in some time. Wyoming won their bowl game and UCLA under Skippy with Norm Chow should provide a good game.

And that would be what is so damn sad about the entire thing.

Blame the structure of College football, Texas is doing the same damn thing as all the rest of the college world is doing sans those teams that reside in conferences that don't have a championship game. At lease Texas is facing teams I can locate on a map. Ok so I still don't know where Florida Atlantic is, but I like how we are facing teams that have gone to bowl games.
This season has taught me one thing, you take care of business and you will play for all the marbles if you reside in the Big 12 it doesn't matter how shitty your schedule is. Yes it's sad, but until the whores of the BCS get overthrown it is all we have to work with. It's not fair, it's not justice, it is reality.

Yeah everyone else... Cincinnati, Air Force, and Florida State on one teams schedule says otherwise.

How is that schedule better? cinci is shit and Florida proved it again this year, we both know it but only one of us is willing to admit it. Air Force is on the same damn level as Wyoming and FSU is on the same damn level as UCLA.
Your a stupid motherfucker, but I'm sure you just write this shit to see if you can get a rise. BTW good luck in the BCS championship game, oh yea thats Texas, good luck with your off season.

Defending Iowa vs JON might be a board first. Anyway...they almost beat OSU at the Shoe with their backup freshman qb. At home with Stanzi? Yeah, they've got a pretty decent shot.

Not official yet but it's sounding pretty good that he's going to stay. He said he isn't interested in leaving early unless he's projected to be a high 1st round pick...which he isn't.

Cincinnati > Rice, Wyoming, UCLA, and Florida Atlantic... and that's the second worst team on our OOC schedule.

Ohio St is a program we damn near never beat. It was a better performance this year but until we prove we can beat them in a big game, I'm favoring the Bucks. I don't think the Top 3 are unbeatable either. There are a couple other teams that could contend (MSU/PSU) if they get a few breaks. If Jones comes back and the secondary improves, MSU has a shot to contend. If State Penn can get decent QB play out of their inexperienced QB I wouldn't count them out. I think those are long-shots but certainly not impossibilities. As for Northwestern, they will lose by 30 vs Iowa I guarantee it. These last 2 years were the biggest fluke wins ever and the odds of a 3rd time is less than slim. Iowa is 0-3 against Ohio St when the Gameday crew was there and there's a good chance they will be there for that game. Rocky lost round 1 to Clubber Lang. But he won the 2nd time around. So you never know.
