Weekend Plans?

Sunday I'm taking the kids to Lexington to go shopping. Other than that, I have nothing exciting planned. This is my last week of being jobless. I found out today that I got the job I interviewed for a couple of weeks ago. I start Monday and I'll be making more at this job than the last.

I get up around 5 AM tomorrow morning and go over to Hammond Stadium to buy single game tickets to Twin's spring baseball games. I'll stop at the nearby 24 Hour McD's to pick up some grub for breakfast. Then its sit in my heavy duty folding chair in line with the rest of the crazies and get my tickets when the box offices open around 8:30. I did a PET on this ritual a couple years ago, but I'm not doing it tomorrow. Luckily the weather has warmed up and the early morning temperature is going to be around 60ยบ.

That sounds nice, wolfman.
I wish you would do a PET.
All the white stuff is melting here, too. It's warming up here big time. I'm hoping Spring comes early, but it's unlikely. I'm ready for shorts and tee shirts again.

Tonight going to go have wings and shit at BWW, probably go out for a bit to a night sport afterward.
Tomorrow some playoff games and my birthday party.
If you don't hear from me by 11pm Sunday I am probably in the hospital with alcohol poisoning.

Congratulations on your new job Katy!! What will you be doing (or is that too personal to ask)?
My daughter is coming home tomorrow morning from college for her birthday. The OL will pick her up at the train station in O'side and take her shopping and to see the Princess and the Frog. While that's going on I'll make my Saturday ritual run to the Farmer's Market and then to Costco. Back home to watch the games and fix the kid's birthday dinner.
On Sunday my brother, who's in SoCal for the weekend from Scottsdale, is coming over to watch the Bolts' game. Prolly bbq something if it's not raining yet. Otherwise just drink.

Thanks, Mikey.
I'm a Financial Analyst. I feel bad taking this job knowing full well I'll be leaving it this summer. I'm preparing to get my affairs in order to make the move to Canada to hang out with Otis. The paperwork alone for living up there is going to be maddening. I guess there's about to be some major changes in my life. I have no idea what the hell I'm going to do with myself once I get to Canada.
It sounds nice that your daughter is coming in!! I hope you guys have fun!

Hang with the kiddos and then fly up to visits my dad in Denver. He has cancer and this is probably his last birthday. Me and all my sisters are coming in to surprise him. Get home late Sunday and then back to the weekly grind.

Sorry to hear about your father Harv.
My plans tonight have been postponed until Sunday evening since the majority of my social circle seems to have gotten ill this weekend.

Thanks for the kind words. It was nice to see him but man he looks horrible. He has lost 60 lbs and all his hair. He went to the Dr. today and his PSA is 256. Anything above 2 is bad. If he makes it to fall I will be shocked. We were told 3 years ago that he had 6 months, so we have been blessed to have him this long.

Hang in there, Harv. I'm losing a parent, too. I can't say I know how you feel, but I have an idea.
I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers, my friend.

It was prostate that caused it. He was fine forever. Went in one year and it was 1.2. Went back 10 months later and it was 17. Idiot Dr. didn't take it out. Instead, he decided to try and treat it. It didn't work and my father is almost gone.

It was nice. It was just me and my sisters and my dad and stepmom. He was surprised and cried when I got there. That killed me. He told me to apologize to my kids and wife that he is probably not going to be able to visit again. Thanks for the kinds words. I really hope that he doesn't suffer.
