Everything has gone according to plan. However, there is this little issue of the tab we ran up this weekend in Cabo which STILL has yet to be settled up. Admins - enough of this goddamn tomfoolery and HANDLE this.

I was just about to send off a check for the relief efforts in Haiti, but it seems there may be a greater need here.

Yeah, well while you were in Cabo...never mind. Keep your britches on, paypal apparently takes a week to transfer funds.

Since 'never', Indy. I've completed something like a hundred and fifty e-bay transactions, all but a few using Paypal. Payment with Paypal is instant, as in right the fuck now. I talk to the guy, we make the deal, he Paypals while we're on the phone, and his payment shows up in my Paypal account, right then and there. It's as immediate as sending e-mails. The moment that payment is received into my Paypal account, I transfer it out of Paypal and into my bank account. Done.
There is no waiting period for funds to clear, not when transactions are made between registered Paypal accounts. There isn't even a waiting period for foreign accounts. I've received and sent PayPal payments to and from Indonesia, Japan, Canada, France, England, Spain, Belgium, Italy, The Czech Republic...hell, even Missouri.
There is no waiting period. Period.

Since we're all apologizing.
I'm sorry, Van, that you did not get my joke causing you to type all that.

That's alright. You weren't joking, you were just wrong, and I like typing anyway.

Not sure if you read all of PSU's timeline, but Perk has stated that paypal in Canada takes like a week. When you did Sin, ebay.com, I threw a .ca extension on the URL referring to Canada. So, it was a joke. Not a statement of fact, or at least one I felt was a fact. 'Sall I'm saying.

Fine, then. I didn't understand the point you were trying to make, and I apologize.
Perk's wrong anyway, or he's just starting up with PayPal. I've done PayPal transactions with people in Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto and some little town in Newfoundland, and each time the transactions were immediate. I simply got hit for a larger transaction fee, which is what PayPal charges the recipient for accepting payment from people in other countries. The only way there might ever be a waiting period is if the person sending the money doesn't have a confirmed PayPal account.

Well, yeah, those make for really long waiting periods.
