Indy, I'm not being snide here, but $1,000 to sit in the end zone? What do the good seats cost?

Try $2300/ticket for these end zone seats. 1k was just the face, and we had to go through a ticket broker, a broker we have been using for years and this was the best price he could get us. Our group bought 18 seats together and this was the only place we could do that.
I could have gotten the same seats as my season tix in Indy on the 35 yard line 9 rows up for $5500 each. Wasn't gonna do that.

I dunno, Indy... did you guys ask for club seating?
I, mean... "I get" the whole club level thing... been there done that at some Celtics game. I didn't pay for the tix, I don't really care about the NBA, it was more of a party type atmosphere. I enjoyed myself, but I wouldn't have paid out of the ass to be there either.
If it were my team (I assuming most of the other 17 people are Colts fans?) in the Super Bowl, I'd rather be down in the 'real seats' as close as I could get.
Any way, have fun and take good pics.

The ring leader chose these seats and the rest of us agreed. It is all family and we wanted to be together. Like I said, we have good season tix to the Colts. 20 seats all together. We kind of wanted to keep it that way. We didn't want the nosebleeds and these seats are the only ones we could get all together. A couple of our family went for the good seats you speak of and they paid $5500 a ticket for them. No way were we getting all 20 seats near midfield down low together. Like I said, I was fine with what we got.

I get what you're saying, bro... I was just making the point that you could sit closer for less money. I saw tickets for 100's level seating in the same endzone on stubhub were going for right around $2K.
You're paying more to sit higher ... but with added value of "the service." But it sounds like you couldn't all sit together unless it was "club seating."
Correct?

I wouldn't turn down end zone seats. A buddy of mine and huge Steelers fan scored end zone seats last year. All he got out of it was this view of one of the greatest moments in NFL history.

Indy, being season ticket holders were you not offered any tickets at face value?
Have a great time!

Season ticket holders have to be selected in a Lottery, not very likely to happen.
The Superbowl isn't about the fans, its all about money. Only about 2000-3000 season ticket holders for each team get a chance to go. The rest of the tickets go to all the other NFL teams (players & front office types), the NFL League offices, corporations etc.
Have fun Indy.

Agreed.
We actually considered (not for long) selling our AFC Championship tickets. For what they were going for online, we could have paid for all 20 season tickets for the whole year by giving up that game. Wasn't gonna happen though. And well worth going to the game.

Congrats Indy - seeing your hometown team in a Super Bowl is something you'll have forever.

Joe is quite correct, I was fortunate enough to score tix through the lottery when the Bucs went to San Diego, and I believe there was only around 1500 tix available to the lucky few lottery winners. And, as Scott said, to see your team on that stage is priceless, especially if they win

Jesus Christ dude, you don't think some Jets fans wouldn't have forked over 20x regular season face value to see their team in a conference championship game for only the 4th time in team history?

Sure thing. Our season tix are $200/seat/game. 8 games and that is $1600/seat for the year. Face value on the AFC Championship game for our tickets were $450/each (see pic below for my ticket). The tickets in my section were going for $1500+ online for the game. So, if we sold our AFC Championship Game tix at the $1500 they were going for, yeah, it is safe to say we could have pretty much paid off the season which was $1600/ticket.
Why do you think I would lie about something like that? I need not...

that's absolutely true because I know somebody that sold their two tickets to the playoffs for $900/each
fortunately for them, the wife is a partner in the ICE MILLER Law firm, and they got two seats in the ICE MILLER suite

New England charges season tickets holders for 10 games. The 2 preseason games are added into the cost at full regular season price. You really only have to pay for 8?
I also think New England has (
or allows) you pay for playoff tickets in advance too. Whatever charges don't apply are credited against your account the following year.

Actually, yes, we had to pay for the two preseason games as well. My whole point was that what we could have gotten for the AFC Championship tix could have basically paid off most of what we had already paid for the entire season.
As for playoff tix, we are allowed to buy those once it is determined there will be a home game.

It's total bullshit. I went to neither preseason game. We gave 16 of our 20 tix to some high school kids. At the very least, the preseason tix should cost a shitload less. Full price to see the starters play a couple series is not fair.

The Eagles require the same of their season ticket holders.
