So what is the coolest sport in the winter olympics? I was watching snowboard cross last night and must admit that it is pretty fukking epcot. They should do a similar event with downhill skiing. Actually something similar with luge would be pretty fukking cool as well.

Next coolest sport is women's figure skating. I could give two shits about the actual skating. It's the absolutely marvelous asses that are generally attached to the competitors. Haven't seen any of it yet this olympics, but, i assume there will be the usual display of world class derrierres. pretty sure i mangled that spelling. oh well.

OK, real hockey (men's) is still the best sport going in winter olympics.

Other cool sports would be the short track speed skaters, regular speed skaters and downhill skiing. Ski jumping would be cool if they'd mix in a few more "agony of defeat" style crashes.

Worst winter sport, besides that ridiculous curling thing would be what? "men's" figure skating?

Besides hockey, the best sport to me is the ski jump airals. Not sure if that is the real name for it, but those fucks do some freaky shit. And the crashes will damn near make you hurl.

yeah, the airi....aeroi.... ski flipping dudes are pretty cool. i can't imagine how one can keep track of what the fukk he is doing while hanging in the air like that. it is pertty amazing.

here's an interesting idea for a new hybrid sport. freestyle skijumping paintball skeet shoot. real birdshot would be more fun, but, would cut into the number of dudes wanting to play the roll of ski jumper/skeet.

a few other ideas. bobsled cross, full contact downhill curling, lesbian pairs figure skating.

If you are at work, don't google image lesbian ice skating....

The moguls were pretty cool too.

I went to the men's snowboard cross event at the 2000 Winter Goodwill Games in Lake Placid. It's a great TV event, as evidenced by the fact that everybody on the mountain was watching the event on two giant TV monitors. The only part we saw live was the finish. I could have been 60 degrees warmer and gotten the same show by watching the events in the lodge at the bottom of the mountain.

Now the aerials are a whole different story. No matter how cool that shit looks on TV, it is absolutely nothing compared to seeing it live. Try to envision watching people try to ski off a 3 story building. It was the best winter sport experience I've ever had save the 30 second run I took on the Olympic Bobsled run at Mt. Hoevenberg.

Actually, I didn't call into question any of the snowboarders' sexual preferences. They are 2 different sports. I happen to prefer figure skating over skateboarding on ice. I find it more artistic as well as athletic. The skateboarding was highly boring. You go ahead and claim that 100% of male figure skaters are gay. You must have some insight that I, as a female don't. Some of them are married to women, by the way. Maybe you're gay. You are a fan of Brokeback Mountain and you're a married man. Who knows?

I'll be happily watching the men's figure skating tonight. Meanwhile, maybe you can critique the snowboarding women. Let me know how many dykes are doing narly flips on skateboards.

B, You are only confirming my stats that about 50% of the figure skaters are gay. You can insist until your balls are blue that it's 100%. Skater A is married to a female. Skater B is flaming gay. I agree Hockey is the best sport but Curling has some sort of magical transe like effect on me that I strangely enjoy. Maybe it is the Scottsman in me coming out.
