Damn, they used that boy UP.
Ride that horse.
Got their money's worth, that's for sure.
"Classy" averaged over 20 carries a game over his nine years with the Blots.
Add more touches - 3.7 receptions per game.
Great player, TD machine, Raiduh killah.
Not sad to see him leave.
Landing spot?

CryMeARivers has a big void to fill -- that's a lot of whining to make up for losing.

My only guess would be NE. They'll be after LT like flies on honey. It's going to be hilarious seeing which LT-hating-posters team he ends up on.
It's really sad to see him go. I'm pretty sure he'll keep San Diego his home. His mom just moved here and he and his wife have businesses here.

Why would you say that? They signed Fred Taylor last year, who is clearly past done so why not LT?

Did Fred Taylor make disparaging remarks about Belichick? I don't seem to remember that.
You... not very smart.

This ain't Corey Dillion or even Fred Taylor. LT has WAY more mileage than either of those two. He'll get a sniff, but it will be at vet minimum and it will be for a team like the Washington Snyders that is prone to overpay for washed up players.

Bri's right, "Classy" is half shot.
SD ran him into the ground, and you really can't blame 'em.
When you've got a big gun, you shoot it.
He's not a feature back anymore and I think he's resigned to not seeing himself that way, also.
Everybody wants the cayesh, but Tomlinson has expressed that he wants to win a Super Bowl.
He's got to be eye-ballin' a team on the verge where he can do "spot duty" off the bench.
The Vikes look like they might want to move on without C. Taylor, who thinks he could play a bigger role with another team, rather than being stuck behind A.P.
Tomlinson to back-up Peterson in Minny?
How 'bout the Iggles?
Maybe a good fit, catch some swing passes in that offense.
What about the Tejans?
Got a place for Lady T?
Just thinkin' out loud.
Somehow Oakland always gets mentioned as a possible location whenever a name vet is released.
Don't hear that or see that in this case, though.

No. I am quite certain Dins was referencing Lilly Tomlinson's remarks about "Belichick and his players having no class" after NE bounced them from the 06-07 playoffs.

Wrong. It happened the year SD was 14-2 and favored to win. Marlon McCree had the game ending INT and was stripped by Troy Brown. NE recovers and scores the game winning TD... Remember?
You're thinking of the LT sobbing on the sidelines with a bruised toe all bundled up while Rivers goes out there with a torn ACL game.

Yes, because calling someone unclassy is much less disparaging than calling someone a cheater. Both true about Belichick, by the way.

He'd be an adequate backup for Ryan Grant.

Wrong. One comment is open to debate (class -- maybe?) while the other is not (cheated -- yes).
Furthermore, do you think any holdovers from that team 06-07 team who were lumped in as being classless want that pussy on their team? No. They do not.
Get it? Yet?

I don't think Cheat's unclassyness is up for debate. It's pretty much understood that he acts in this manner at times. That doesn't take away the fact that he can out-coach Norv. Take off your blinders and BS and realize that the Charger's in their glorious immaturity is not the same as a 45 year old man cheating and dissing his NFL colleagues.
I get the fact that you need to play your role as bored prick, but I am going to be laughing so hard when and if LT lands on your team.

never fucking happen... it's 5 pm somewhere, right? Drink up, dumpster cunt.

LT stated only one team he would NOT play for. The Raiduhs.
So far, rumors are The Bears or The Saints.

3.8 YPC two years ago + 3.3 last year = Downward trend = Toast. He's made his bones on being quick and cutting ability. Not any more.
It's over, Johnny. It's over. Tell Shaun Alexander 'what's up.'

I don't think anybody would mind Tomlinson being on their team if he understood his role would be as a short yardage, goal line back and as a mentor for younger players. Trouble is, there's more than a little evidence suggesting he doesn't.

I'm sure the Chargers would love to have him back on that basis and they still might if Complainian gets a serious reality check on the free agent market.

Well "The Rat" broke silence apparently and was elusive when it came to Clintone Portis.
I'd be curious to see if he'd make a play for LTson*.
LT will always be reserved for Lawrence Taylor in my world.
