Wash. man electrocuted by urinating on power line

MONTESANO, Wash. — Authorities believe a Washington man was killed by accidentally urinating on a downed power line after a car crash.

Grays Harbor County sheriff's Deputy Dave Pimentel (PIM'-en-tel) said Monday 50-year-old Roy Messenger was not seriously hurt after he collided with a power pole Friday and called a relative to pull his car from a ditch.

However, family members found Messenger electrocuted when they arrived.

Pimentel says Messenger apparently urinated into a roadside ditch but didn't see the live wire. The urine stream likely served as a conductor, allowing the electricity to reach his body.

Pimentel says there will be an autopsy but burn marks indicated the way the electricity traveled through Messenger's body.

I think everyone on this planet either did the same or knows someone who did. Must be a lot of electric fences out there. Touched one with a snowball once as a kid.....yep, shocking experience!

That was the time tested way to initiate city boys to the farm, Smackie. They'd fall for it every time and then couldn't wait to invite one of their city friends to the farm so they could watch them fall for the same trick. And, no, I never saw anyone do it a second time.

the dude that did it was some okie redneck fukker with an electronics background. he sure as hell didn't do it on purpose. he was on a boy scout campout with his kids. he got up in the middle of the night, stumbled out of his tent to take a whiz and got a little surprise. he said it was the most horrific experience of his life. and this dude looked like he had been through a horific experience or three.
