...are suddenly everywhere. Apparently they've only been in North America since 1998. We've seen one or two over the past few years...but now suddenly, there's 10-15 per room.

Halyomorpha halys

Any of you dishrags seen these fuckers?

They have been down here for decades. And MAN!!! When you mess with them, HOO-BOY, do they stink.

An insecty/vegetably stinky thing. During the summer, they invade my tomato plants.

Nasty beasts.

They make good soup though! Ask Emeril.

Saw a stink bug--Order Hemiptera. If I had a taxonomic key I might check to see if Genus and Species names are correct. Insect "invasion" is a product of our times. I worked with Asian Long Horned beetles at Cornell a few years ago. They got here in untreated crates and pallets from China and eat Sugar Maple trees for dinner.

Me in the quarantine facility with jars of breeding beetles.Someone did a great wytch job of this with the heads/faces of various posters in the jars. Anyone have a copy of that ??
