Spoiler vs Wing will be the hot topic at Martinsville this weekend. What's your take?

I was just out to dinner with my Nascar insider friend and he told me Nascar is about to get very interesting.

drivers like it thanks to the lower profile. they'll actually see something out their rearview mirrors again.
personally, i thought the wing looked silly.

My take is that we don't need you posting crappy links backed up with zero opinion.

Have a take, don't suck.

Or at least have a take, the not sucking part needs work.

I believe he was suggesting that you might have offered your own opinion at the same time you asked for others, BarFlie42. I love the return of the spoilers. I'd prefer something along these lines:

Bar, perhaps you could do some research and see if you can find out why the spoilers were removed in the first place.

I'm not interested in history wags but to humor you I would assume all the rocket scientists were saying the wing would provide better downforce than the spoiler and I bet they are right. On the down side if you happen to be going backward at about 180 mph like Ryan Newman the wing might help you go airborne as well. Tough call on this.

Speaking of spoilers it looks like rain is gonna make todays race a washout. Sundays are for racing and beer... :cry:

yeah, bummer. At least we've got NCAA hoops to watch.

I got to watch the end of the race today. Was a mind blower. google some video for yourselves it was unbelievable. Hamlin won Logano 2nd but totally strange how that happened
