5th April 2010 10:44 EST WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad -- including two Reuters news staff.

Reuters has been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-site, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded.

The pilots were so eager to start shooting everything in sight--they were pleading "C'MON, LET US SHOOT!" They wanted to see an "RPG", they wanted to see a gun, and would have been pouty and irritable all day long back at the base if they hadn't been given the clearance to massacre the whole group. When it turned out they were completely wrong, they tried to lie about it and hide the evidence.

The guy on the radio who gave them clearance to blow away the van sounds like an eighteen year-old...."Well, we've got no one in the area..go ahead!"

Absolutely disgraceful behavior for any military group, let alone the one who is still attempting to justify and rationalize its actions in the first place ("He was a threat..to his own people..uh..")

Imaging how many THOUSANDS of incidents like this have occurred without a video leaking out.
