"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic."
-Benjamin Franklin

That is why franchise should be limited to those with an income tax liability. No skin in the game? No vote.

Sorry about the hijack, but nobody really cares that much about NBA basketball anyway.

I'll go with Delonte West.

Going on personal experience or the next guy on the Cavs roster with major amount of ink?

My guess would be JaMario or Jawad

there is one person on the planet that i am aware of that could guard shaq on his own.

the worm.

once you get past the train wreck that is his personal life, dude was an absolute monster on defense. the bulls could have had 3 jordans and they still wouldn't have beat that magic team without rodman. so what if dennis might have bent slightly a few rules doing it. it was beautiful to watch.

a few years later i remember watching the admiral, no defensive slouch, attempt to fill the same roll. shaq fukked him in the ass, hard and dry and didn't so much as offer a reach around. it was scary.

When Shaq was always going to be allowed to commit offensive fouls every time he turned into the lane, there simply was no guarding him; there was only fouling him.

Word. He was fun to watch - incredibly talented as a defender.

It wasn't like that when he was on the Lakers. Only before. And after.

I guess 15 years has erased the memory of what I did to "my little bitch" in the Finals.

Sin,

It was precisely like that when he was on the Lakers. That's when he became most famous for simply dropping his shoulder and barging right on in, dislodging the defender while never getting called for the charge.

The thread title ELIMINATES 88. I don't think he'd suffered that yet.

Shaq is still a beast...how well is he moving down the court these days? I always thought his knees would have disintegrated by now.

rack pretty much all of dins' comments.

ewing did abuse shaq back when he was a youngster, but, he could never defend him mano a mano. the worm could.

i still remember ewing looking at shaq and saying , OK boy, you want the paint? it's yours. then he fukking prison raped shaq with 10 ft baseline jumpers. and there wasn't a fukking thing shaq could do about it. ewing was pretty damn unstopable with those short range jumpers.

i remember thinking, damn, shaq, if you could ever figure out how to increase your range beyond, uhhhh, dunk, you'd really be something.

as physical specimens go, there never has been anything, human or otherwise that approaches the shaq. 7'2" three fitty, built proportionally like a 6 ft point guard and nearly as quick. dude is an absolute freak of nature.

i'll bet pickkkle's readnig this and getting all moist down there, trembling, licking his lips and just dreaming about how epcot it would be to be mrs shaq.

are we talking a healthy shaq? what year? did he do it one on one or with a double team? might have happened over the last 5-6 years diring which my nba interest has waned quite a bit, not that it was that high to begin with.

2002. Shaq was healthy, Ben was a beast. Shaq is one of the most overrated players of all time. Can't score outside of 5 feet, never rebounded well...
