The Light shines in darkness

Post by poptart »

Matthew 4:13-17
[13] And leaving Nazareth, he (Jesus Christ) came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
[14] That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
[15] The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
[16]The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
[17] From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

It is the darkness which has covered the world.
It is the darkness that has bound people and has put them on a path to certain failure.

People mistakenly think that their hardships are the result of a "bad" spouse, bad parents, bad financial luck, bad friends, bad health, bad schooling, bad ... many things, but that is not it.

Even in cases in which some of these things are good, the failure just comes even more severely.

It can not be blocked and it WILL come to all people.

For this reason, when man went into the darkness and certain failure, God immediately gave the Gospel - Genesis 3:15.
"Just believe the Light which I give and take it into your heart."

2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Gensis 1:1-3
[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
[2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
[3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
