WGARA?

I was watching the news this morning and they were talking about how much the olympics grew during his stewardship. All I could think about was how the olympics went from being must see TV to WGAFTV.

I realize that this is mainly due to political changes more than anything else, but, how the fukk anyone can say the olympics got bigger during this time, should try measuring in something other than sponsor dollars.

How would you measure it?

More athletes?
More sports?
More attendance?
Bigger TV audience?

Pretty sure they've gotten bigger by just about any measure you can come up with, besides maybe interest generated by bloated Connecticut couch potatoes.

Gotta agree. The games are unwatchable, and the integrity of these competitions is even more suspect these days. As much as people knock Brundage, he was still better than Samarach.

And what does each of these have to do with the integrity of the games? Nothing.

The things you list are a result of marketing the Olympics.
Did I say ANYTHING about the "integrity" of the games?

You might want to go back and read the post I was responding to.
