The Flaming Lips - The Fearless Freaks Bootleg
This disc was given away at the premiere of the film "The Fearless Freaks" at SXSW, and the band has allowed it to be freely traded. I originally downloaded it in flac format from
easytree, but I've converted the tracks to mp3 because I didn't feel like waiting for 400mb to upload.
Here's the track listing:
1. Wayne's Intro
2. With You (Molly's, Boston 1986)
3. Can't Stop the Spring (Norman, OK 1988)
4. Shine on Sweet Jesus (Ausburg, Germany 1990 or 91)
5. Space Age Love Song (Chicago, Lollapalooza 1994)
6. Moth in the Incubator (Ventura, CA 1995)
7. When You Smile (Tree's, Dallas 1996)
8. Sleeping on the Roof (Excerpt from the first parking lot experiment OK City, 1996)
You can find the covers
here and
here.

What's to get? You click on the links and download the songs. And when you feel like sharing you go to
http://www.yousendit.com and upload them, then give us the link it provides. Pretty simple. The only problem is that the link is only good for a week or 25 downloads, whichever comes first.

I don't have anything to share right now, but I wanted to point out another site you can use to upload stuff.
http://rapidshare.de/
It's better than YSI because there's no download limit, but you are limited to files less than 30mb.

Dance, motherfuckers.
RACK Yousendit, for having some pretty fat bandwidth, making it tolerable, despite the complete lack of feedback in this thread.

Seems like the least amount of tards show up on the music forum. Hope you folks enjoy some of these. Coalesce is a hardcore band so that might turn some of you off but they do some smokin Zepplin covers. Bob Schneider is just the man.

I'll say it again. Use rapidshare.de for files less than 30mb. They don't expire until they're inactive for 30 days.
There's some good stuff posted in this thread, especially Dins' Crazy 8's track. I don't like much ska, but those guys were solid.

One of my faves for the last couple of years or so. Brilliant lyricists.
Since it got a pleasant review, and since it's expired, and since I'm now sporting some crazy upload speed, I'll repost it --

These Walls
Music: Dream Theater, Lyrics: John Petrucci
This is so hard for me
To find the words to say
My thoughts are standing still
Captive inside of me
All emotions start to hide
And nothing's getting through
Watch me
Fading
I'm losing
All my instincts
Falling into darkness
Tear down these walls for me
Stop me from going under
You are the only one who knows
I'm holding back
It's not too late for me
To keep from sinking further
I'm trying to find my way out
Tear down these walls for me now
So much uncertainty
I don't like this feeling
I'm sinking like a stone
Each time I try to speak
There's a voice I'm hearing
And it changes everything
Watch me
Crawl from
The wreckage
Of my silence
Conversation
Failing
Tear down these walls for me
Stop me from going under
You are the only one who knows
I'm holding back
It's not too late for me
To keep from sinking further
I'm trying to find my way out
Tear down these walls
Every time you choose to turn away
Is it worth the price you pay
Is there someone who will wait for you
One more time
One more time
Watch me
Fading
I'm losing
All my instincts
Falling into darkness
Tear down these walls for me
Stop me from going under
You are the only one who knows
I'm holding back
It's not too late for me
To keep from sinking further
I'm trying to find my way out
Tear down these walls for me now
Tear down these walls for me
It's not too late for me
Tear down these walls for me

The sound sucks here ... not sure what I did wrong, but I promise, it sounds waaaaay betta ahn headphones.

"Breathe Me" by Sia.
This was the song playing at the end of the Six Feet Under series finale while Clair was driving away and they showed how everyone ends up dying. The most perfect song for the ending of that series.
